Barely Fits Oregon Chainsaw Helmet, Buy the $17 3M SecureFit Helmet!
Barely fits an Oregon chainsaw safety protective helmet (Model 563474).Requires a little bending for ensuring the ear muffs fit somewhat tightly against ears. When using/mounting to the Oregon helmet, the ear muffs adjustable sizing are fully extended for my 7 1/4" hat sized head.MY SUGGESTION FOR HELMET: Just buy the $17 3M SecureFit (H-707SFV-UV orange) plastic hardhat. The included 3M earmuff mounts additionally cleverly snap-up and snap-down. Unfortunately, the included 3M earmuff mounts omit the attachment for front plastic (chainsaw) grill or clear plastic face shield.(The 3M plastic helmets are not readily found on Amazon.com, and each color has an individual model number, search for 3M SecureFit Hard Hat. Think the wide-brimmed helmet will likely obstruct a secure earmuff fit.)Otherwise, I already have the 3M Bluetooth earmuff headband version, and the interface buttons on the helmeted version (not Bluetooth headband version) seem much easier navigating/tuning... likely due to not having all of the additional features such as Bluetooth.NOTE: If you're using a metal helmet, the antenna performance might be significantly inhibited! Been stated elsewhere, the antenna is embedded within the wire connecting the two earmuffs/speakers. Knowing a little about antennas, very likely true.NOTE: For installing the earmuff mounts, the straight non-attached plastic clip is intended to be put under pressure once the screw is tightened. When assembling, set the two wire rods into position first, while just setting the straight plastic non-attached plastic clip in last, subsequently placing the cover and screwing-down.

The best & only headset for me when I am out and a round
I use this item constantly, as I have a hardhat and my previous headset would not work with the hardhat. I love the fact that I can move the earmuffs out of the way, when I need to go out or cover my ears when I am in or around the shop.

Almost perfect, amazing battery life, some small changes need to be made.
I dont like that these are not waterproof. It rains every other day. The manual says you can wipe them clean with a wet rag, but do not immerse in water. I really hope they at least took rain and sweat in consideration. Also, I with I could find a hardhat compatible set of muff with bluetooth for around this price. Sometimes radio isnt enough. These can connect to phone through 3.5mm aux cord, but who needs wires getting caught on every tree branch that I go by. Also. These have a thick wire connecting the two muffs and doubles as the radio antenna. That also catches almost every branch i go by. Just a few things to make this product better. The volume is ok for the most part, except when i have the chipper or chainsaw running, those still overpower the muffs and the noise cancellation. Almost forgot. I work 10 hour days, so I can confidently say that I have between 60 an 80 hours on the original set of AA batteries. Not sure where they should cap out at. But that in my opinion is amazing battery life.

Meh
I'm not overly impressed. I have a few complaints. Debating if I should return them.1. Fitment seems a little off. No adjustment. They sit a little low, and my hardhat sits a little high... so if you have a low sitting hardhat your ears might not even be inside the things.2. No mute or pause button! Would love to easily mute what I'm listening to so I can hear coworkers.3. They don't easily flip up and out of the way. Rub on hardhat when moving to side. Will eventually destroy the side of earmuff.4. The cable that links the two together. Sort of annoying. Would prefer 2 sets of batteries and a wireless connection between them.5. No bluetooth. (I know it's not advertised as such) BUT it would solve problem #4 and make it more convenient. I would gladly spend extra for bluetooth.6. Again not advertised as such, but built in rechargeable batteries would be great. I'm using rechargeable batteries, but I have to take them in / out which will get annoying. So basically add some adjustable parts. Give it bluetooth, an internal rechargeable battery, and throw in a mute button and these things would be awesome! I'd pay $200 for a quality pair. For $85 seems a bit steep for what you get.--- I haven't used them at work yet. This is just my initial thoughts after attaching them to my hardhat. It's 2021 I'm not asking for them to invent anything new, but rather take advantage of technology that's been around for a while now.But on the plus side.... It does play the radio and attach to my hardhat.

Jobsite safety never sounded so good..
I'm a senior electrician on a new Amazon project in Wa.St..This is heavy commercial construction & barely started so you can imagine the noise level 10 hours a day,6 days a week..IEM's give me ear infections & after a few hours the pressure from being pushed into the ear canal is just too much..$0.25 foam they provide are garbage..For the $ paid these are FANTASTIC!FM antenna is a little weak but still pulls in the Seattle classical station 50 miles away. The 3.5mm jack for external source allowed me to attach a small Blue Tooth 5.0 dongle, giving me pretty much unlimited entertainment during some very long days..Good snug seal..Someone commented in a review the ear openings are too long,he must have a very small head,I wear a 7.25"hat & even wearing a watch cap under my hardhat they still fit just about perfect..Since they are new they only get 4 stars until they prove they can stand up to day to day use in a heavy construction environment..

Radio doesn’t have the greatest reception. We have used these types of headphones for years.
Same as title. Happy to have them. I will spend a little more next time hoping to get better reception

Bluetooth next please
Can't hear a darn thing with these things on even without music which is great for working with wood chippers and other loud stuff. But I also like to be able to hear someone shout if they drop a tree so I end up flipping them up a lot. The swivel has held up well. Just wish I could find a bluetooth version. Cord is annoying and gets caught on stuff
