what waste.sewage does it take care of?

We use the pump as part of our basement bathroom plumbing system that includes one toilet, a shower, and two sinks. The pump can take care of that kind of household sewage for sure. I am not sure what else it can handle. Our plumber advised us not to flush tampons down that toilet because of the sump pump.

Will the unit grind sewage or is it a pump only?

It has turbine blades that create the pumps suction and says it moves 2 inch solids. That sounds like it will pump sewage, but the tank my pump is in, is an overflow from my sewage tank. Zoeller has their own websight and should answer your questions on line:)
