LED Security Light with Motion Sensor

Purchased this for an elderly friend who has moved into accommodation, where the front door is set back and has no visible light . Either for her to see the door key latch or whoever may be outside. looked thro Amazon for a suitable small light and came up with this.Well boxed with excellent instructions, and included a 3M stick patch and mounting screws with rawlplugs. It does not include batteries.The front assy unscrews and you have exposure to the battery assy and the mounting plate.The base can be screwed or stuck onto a suitable surface , batteries inserted, screwed together, and all is good.When batteries are first inserted the unit lights up for a minute or so then turns off. The integral motion sensor at its best works at dusk and better still in darkness. The instructions state not to push the switch to off but to leave where factory set, but we could not find this switch, so not an issue.The light against the base has up/down, clock /anticlock, and rotation movements, so can be ideally positioned and pointed.The front face has 2 LED and the motion sensor, and is best positioned when it is getting dark to check it's best position and mounting. Then rotated to get the best possible from it.This lamp gave a bright white light and lit up all that we wanted, porch and doorway. motion sensing was very good with auto turn off at 20 secs. No idea how long the batteries will last, but the LED's will flash to show the 4 batteries need changing.All in all this is an excellent outside light for small areas, and what matters most is that our friend is totally happy with it, it gives her the additional security that she was looking for..

I needed a battery operated LED for the exterior of my shed. This one seems solid enough but there is no seal for the battery compartment and you obviously have to fit your own batteries, for this price I would have expected usb rechargeable or at least a rubber seal on the battery compartment, so 3 stars.It gives a very narrow spot so you would need to mount it high up if it was a bigger area, brightness is fine for a doorway or relatively small patio or garden area, I will see how it does over the winter.Update -I have had this on my shed for over 3 months now and although it's a relatively short time it's still working perfectly, it's been through harsh weather, continuous heavy rain and strong winds, and now in Jan 25 freezing conditions, that pretty impressive considering no battery compartment seal, I haven't even needed to change the batteries, this is in comparison to a similar device that has a seal and the screws are protected by additional rubber sleeves to prevent water ingress, I even fitted tape over the joint seal and water still got in twice to the other device.Anyway I have given this light 4 stars nowUpdate:- March 25I have now been using this for 6 months and my own rechargeable batteries unsurprisingly have gone flat, the seal took a bit of effort to crack open but i was astonished that internally, including the battery compartment was bone dry.. not even a hint of condensation, I don't know how this is possible with no rubber seal and it's a relatively short screw, a few turns and it's done, so top marks for design, still only 4 stars as you have to use your own batteries, but highly impressive nonetheless.Note - it might be worthwhile buying the 2 pack as it works out at £11.99 each.

I bought these 2 security lights for my back door, and I have to say they are great. The brightness illuminates a wide area. The only thing that I can have a moan about is the 3m stickers supplied with them, as they are hopeless, they would stay up for about 10mins then 1 would keep falling off. In the end I bought gorilla tape, and they are stuck to the frame of the door without falling off. But all in all 2 great security lights for a really good price.

Easy to set up & fix to (in our case) the garden fence using the screws.Gives out enough light to slightly light up the dark steps outside the front of our house. Reasonable "detection" range.Hopefully it's waterproof, like it said in the description - time will tell.Very adjustable as to the angle of the light etc. so you can pretty much get it pointing at any area you want.Longevity? It's not very big, so hopefully it'll last a while.It's worth buying if you only need to light up a smallish area, or have a general light-up of small area.

great light, works brilliantly, bought this to light up the patio at night, sensor is great, love that it's battery operated as you can put it anywhere & then move it if needed, Will be buying more definitely.

Fast free delivery (Prime), sensible packaging, and look good. Should work OK. But, as others have said, it is unnecessarily difficult to mount them. The provided adhesive pads are not strong enough to hold the weight of the light with the batteries inside for any length of time. It is very tricky to line up the screws and screw holes for the hanging holes in the base plate - a simple template for the required holes would be helpful but it would still be very fiddly to actually hang the light this way. . I used an electric socket blanking plate as a backing for the light and drilled through the curved surface of the light base and the socket blanking plate and fitted a M3 nut and bolt to hold the base and blanking plate together, and then screwed the blanking plate to our porch. Seems secure now. Not sure how long the batteries will last but they are easy to change. Hopefully the lights will do the job, but I don't think I will buy these particular ones again.

Good product, easy to install no wiring needed, works well when motion detected. Could be with being a little brighter but with a great for close to a door.

Prima product. Werkt zoals hij dient te werken, solide materiaal en prima prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. Hiervoor twee grotere lampen gekocht voor dezelfde prijs, uit een héél bekend land. Deden het geen van beiden.

Impeccable. Petites mais éclairent très bien quand il fait sombre devant mon garage et sur la terrasse (porte d’accès). Par contre il y a 2 piles sur 4 qui ne sont pas faciles à installer.

Dobra regulacja, łatwy montaż. Światło mogły by być lekko mocniejsze ale może niewiele prsdu będzie czerpać. Polecam.
