Good mix of chance and skill
This is a very fun game that I think can be easily learned and enjoyed across many age levels. The rules stay the same but games turn out differently based on chance and there is still opportunity to use bluffing skills as well.

Grandchildren's favorite
My sons had this game when they were little. The grandchildren discovered it when visiting here and they loved it. Bought the game for them so they could play it at their home.

Such a fun game!
I had never heard of this game before, but I went looking for a game similar to Clue and found this one for our family to try. We absolutely LOVE it! There is some assembly required when you first open the game (stickers to apply and game pieces to put together), but the instructions are pretty simple to follow, and it doesn't take too long to do. After that, set up for each game is pretty quick and easy. We had no problem figuring out how to play the game. You play the game as multiple characters, and you can move anyone's game piece around the board - not just your own. This game is full of deception and bluffing, and it is so fun trying to figure out who's who. While it does require a little skill, a lot of the game is left to chance which makes it super fun for everyone! Game play takes about an hour or less. We have played it over and over again, and it never gets old. This game is great for kids and adults!!

Great Updates to a Classic
This is one of my all-time favorite games. I still remember watching the commercial for the game (available still on YouTube) on Saturday mornings—it featured puppets knocking each other off using the traps from the game. I asked for the game for Christmas and got it from my grandma Christmas morning. This past Christmas, I bought this rerelease for my nieces (10 and 8), and they had a blast with it, too. So fun to be able to pass this game on to the next generation. For those who don’t know, this game is kind of like Clue the movie in that it’s full of slapstick comical violence and murder. The goal is to either kill off all of the characters you don’t control, or to run out the front door while your character is in possession of the old lady’s will. It’s very silly and the violence plays as a gag. The rules are simple enough for pretty young kids to pick up quickly, and the board has enough “wow factor” to make replaying it over and over again enjoyable. This rerelease is exactly like the original with a few minor upgrades to how the board is put together. The original had clips that held the wall together, but they were designed in a way that eventually split the cardboard apart and made it so that the wall became loose and unstable. This new version has better clips that fit nicer and shouldn’t damage the cardboard over time. The chandelier is still wonky, but that’s part of the charm. The rest of the traps work perfectly. Overall, I’m thrilled to see this game get a newer edition, and I’m excited to play it with my son in a few years when he’s old enough.

An italian review
I had to specify my nationality in the title, because after reading several reviews saying that the game is the very same that came out in 90s, I came to the conclusion that there were a few differences between our version and the american one. First of all, our cardboard was thicker, expecially the pawns and the board itself. Same for the fireplace, the mechanism is cheaper hence it slips out of its holds all the time is not fixed to the board. These were the important differences, now the secondary ones. The colors of some items are different (the stairs and the picture frame are brown, in our version they were red), same for the back of the cards (I prefer the american ones tbh) and the superior part of the fireplace (our was smooth, this one has a sort of rough texture. Nothing bad, honestly). It's worth the money? Yes, if you don't have to pay double of its price just because you live in another country. To me it was a lost cornerstone of my childhood, and I infinitely thank Winning Moves for the second live they give to it. Too bad nobody spoke about this product in my country, and I luckily discovered its existence.

Buy this game immediately.
One of my favorite games as a kid, still have the original kicking around! Definitely family friendly, albeit slightly morbid. Takes a little while to set up the traps and board, but totally worth it! Picked up a second one just so I wouldn't freak out if my kids messed up my old one. Yes, I realize I have issues. Buying a second game was cheaper than paying a therapist to uncover the reasons for my deep-seeded trust issues and desire to hold onto/relive childhood memories. Just to be clear, this game is so awesome I had to buy another one just to ensure the original is preserved appropriately. Buy it.

Great game that doesn’t get the publicity it deserves.
Fun multi player game. My kids played it when they were young and kept telling their children about it. I found it on here and decided it was time to let my grandchildren see what they thought. They loved it. It’sa classic.
