Say hello to healthy and delicious AIP meals , always available to eat at home, at work, or on-the-go. Review: Love this book! A few tips… - I don’t write reviews often, but this book has made such an impact on our lives improving my husband’s auto immune condition. It’s so hard to change your lifestyle when it comes to eating. We already eat healthy overall, but not specifically AIP and it felt like a steep learning curve and with a newborn and toddler at home it just felt like too much to take on right now. This book has made cooking so much easier, and has taken the thought out of it completely. You learn as you go, and after a couple of weeks it’s second nature. I will say, my husband loves to cook. He’s very fast, but cooking a week of meals for us both took quite literally 7-8 hours. This starts to take a massive toll on you when you lose an entire Sunday prepping. I highly suggest doing all the prepping and chopping the night before so the next day you can save some headache. The only negative I have to say about this book is that it only gives you 5 days worth of meals which leaves you trying to figure out the last couple of days (one of which, you’re literally cooking all day long). It’d be nice if she gave you meals that lasted 7 days. Overall the meals are delicious and it’s been really awesome to see how AIP has helped my husband to feel such huge improvement in his health so quickly. If you’re on the fence, just buy it! Can’t go wrong. Review: Great AIP Meals - I really like this cookbook. Most of the meals are really yummy and I like the layout. There is a meal plan for every 5 days, set up in each chapter, with a shopping list for that weeks meals. I don't stay strictly to the bulk cooking plan, but instead make several meals at a time for the week. I've been eating healthy and it has helped me to plan ahead. It also is easy to put my own spin on some of the dishes.

Great AIP Meals

MUST BUY!
HIGHLY recommend this book. The recipes are delicious. I find the portion sizes very large, so you could probably make 5 servings into 10. The step by step instructions are great and the food is delicious. It is a MUST buy!

Great recipes, helpful lists, just a little weak on the printing end!
I've cooked my way through 3 weeks of this book now and have really enjoyed almost all the recipes, not a single fail so far. I love the arrangement too, it is so much easier to select and menu and use the author's shopping list than to wade through a full cookbook, pick out enough recipes for the week and make my own grocery list. The author has a lot a creative work-arounds to continue enjoying a wide variety of meals with AIP compliant ingredients. My only complaint, as others have also stated, is that the printing isn't great. Size is okay for me but its a little bit grainy and my copy is also slightly skew which is slightly annoying but I wanted to get cooking my Shepherd's Pie bacon cups rather than wait for an exchange.

Life. Changing.
I'm 1.5 weeks into the AIP elimination diet and before I started was literally eating fast food almost every single day. Making my own meals was not something I enjoyed so I really fell into an unhealthy rut and had terrible eating habits. Needless to say when I got diagnosed w/ Hashimotos, it was a major wake up call and dove into what I needed to do to heal myself. Having this book on hand to help wrap my head around not only a huge diet change but also how to bulk meal prep (I love my food fast after all!) has been an actual gamechanger. I would not have been able to transition into this as smoothly and am already seeing health results (energy, moods, etc). So grateful to have found this resource! Oh, and most importantly, the food is SO TASTY. Highly recommend!!!

Life changing!
I have always known "batch cooking" should be easier but felt disorganized and like all the food I was prepping because they were easy didn't really go together. This book has changed all of that for me! In about 3-4 hours, I have enough lunches for a month! (She maps out breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack meal plans, but I used them all for lunch so this lasts me longer.) The steps are clear (do steps 1-3 on this recipe, then 1-2 on that recipe, and by then you can do step 4 on the first recipe, for instance.) This makes everything flow so consistently! I love it! She also reminds you what to do the day before (like thaw stuff out!) The recipes are delicious, not a single complaint. And I have no trouble reading the print, like one person complained about. My husband is AMAZED when he sees how much I make in such a small period of time, which gives me MORE FREE TIME! Yay!!! Get this book!

DELISH - Phenomenal Cookbook - Best meal prep on the market - Great recipes
Love this book. It has REAL meal prep so you can plan and cook for the week, and freeze stuff. But you don't have to do that... you can just make these great recipes individually. My favorite recipe is the Cheeseburger casserole - beef with a cauliflower/ sweet potato mash over the ground beef with bacon. So many more. Excellent cookbook perfectly designed and obviously thoroughly tested. DELISH. High recommend. By the way, when I eat the auto-immune I have no joint pain and stiffness. This stuff WORKS!

Beware - Very long meal prep
I was recently diagnosed with RA and I have been researching the AIP diet to help manage some of my inflammation. I found this cookbook and liked the idea of doing batch cooking for a whole week. I knew big changes were needed in my life so I was fully committed to reviewing the recipes and following the shopping list for week #1. I shopped on Saturday and planned all my cooking on Sunday. I started the process Sunday morning at 9:30a. I finished at 5:45p. I am not a novice cook so I should have figured things were going to take forever when you have 5 different proteins and numerous veggies that needed peeling and dicing. I doubled the recipes for my husband (who has MS) and I expected additional time for prep and cooking but not like this. My point to all of this is not to take away anything at all from the recipes. My beef here is it would make more sense when batch cooking to choose maybe 2 proteins and use them multiple ways for the weeks. I haven’t looked ahead to week #2’s menu, but if it’s like this first week, I’ll be making some modifications. If you are considering purchasing this cookbook, consider carefully. I hope the author takes my comments under consideration and makes some updates to the time commitment and simplifying the number of proteins and work involved. As I previously mentioned, I have RA and I can barely walk or stand right now after spending all day in the kitchen. Just sayin.
