Generally you would need 3 clips every 2ft of roof eave. 2x clips on the S-5 mounting base when placed low and 1x clip on the mounting base placed high with the triangle/wave pattern. Please refer to our Heat Tape Pro manual for further elaboration on how the product is installed which can also be found on our website.
