FEL-PRO OS 30693 R Engine Oil Pan Gasket Set for Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I used the FEL-PRO OS 30693 oil pan gasket set on my 2007 GMC Sierra (Silverado 1500 platform), and it worked out very well. The gasket fit properly and lined up without any issues during installation. Once installed, it sealed the oil pan completely and resolved the leak I was dealing with. Everything has stayed dry since the repair, which is exactly what I needed. Overall, this is a reliable gasket set from FEL-PRO that does its job well. I’m very satisfied with the fit and performance and would use it again for future repairs.

Fit like a glove on an LS2 C6 corvette, no leaks after 500 miles. Will update if that changes.

This is a quality piece that was a pretty exact match for the original. Of course, it's blue instead of black. I checked the oil pressure sending unit, the cam sensor and the crank sensor and all were dry. Looking in the torque converter inspection hole (and starter hole), the flexplate was dry, so thankfully it was not the rear main. I replaced the valve cover gaskets because it's easy and there was obvious oil around the exhaust manifolds. They were crunchy and broke on disassembly, but oil was still *dripping* when the engine got hot. Changing the oil pan gasket is an easy job - if the engine is out of the vehicle. In the vehicle, you must disconnect the front driveshaft and halfshafts and lower the front differential out of the way. That's actually much easier than getting the diff back into place. I pressure washed the pan while it was out and cleaned up both surfaces with 300 grit sandpaper. The old RTV at the "corners" has to be scraped off. The old pan gasket rubber broke apart in my hands and was clearly squished as flat as the aluminum frame. I replaced the gasket at the oil filter mount while it was apart. I also have an '05 with 100,000 more miles than this one and I've never had to replace the oil pan gasket on it.
