I can't believe that I waited this long to get a heated toilet seat!
Update: Almost one year later, this toilet seat is still working great. With time, the seat does not feel like it gets too hot--not sure if it is because we are used to it, or if it just doesn't get as hot. But it is still very warm and does the job well. We absolutely LOVE having a heated toilet seat. Our bathroom is very cold and I found my kids were lining the seat with toilet paper to keep from having it feel so cold on their tushy. Now that we have it, I tell you, it's a shock to the booty to sit on a seat that is not heated! I will say that if you are on the seat for an extended period of time, there are spots that do get too hot. The cord is a good length, no need to have an outlet right next to the bowl. And, the cord has two pieces, so you can simply disconnect the cord if you need to 'unplug' the seat (such as when you need to sit for a while and it gets too hot). The only downside to it is that there is a random cord running from the toilet to the nearest outlet, so that doesn't look the prettiest, but in my opinion, it is WELL worth the cord being seen to have that warm seat!

My wife says, "it makes me smile!"
Here's the truth: I'm a 54-year-old guy who is in love with his toilet seat. I never new such a thing existed until last year when I spent a week in Japan and Singapore. Everyplace I visited had toilet seats that washed, dried, and warmed my behind. The plumbing part was nice, but not necessary. The warmed seat, on the other hand, I've lusted after ever since. Before winter comes again, I decided, I'm gonna get me a warmed toilet seat! I was disappointed that no retailer in town stocks such a thing, so I went shopping on Amazon. I could spend up to $1000 on a high-end seat, and that's before I pay for all the plumbing work. Ummm, no. This soft-touch, however, promised exactly what I wanted: warmth, and an easy hookup. It delivered. Here's the best part. My wife thought this was the silliest thing in the world. "who needs a warm seat?" she kept saying. She mocked me, until the moment she sat on it. Now she tells me, "every time I sit down in the bathroom, it makes me smile." Totally worth the investment! Final note: I did not write this review until we'd had the thing installed for about two months. It appears to be very easy to keep clean, definitely resists staining, etc, and is sturdy. The instructions say to keep the lid down to maximize heat, and that is a must -- with the lid up, the seat is lukewarm. But when you keep the lid down, it's toasty -- and that is SUCH a luxury when you stumble into the bathroom at 3AM. Ahhh!

Does what it is supposed to o
This is an early review, so I can't address reliability or longevity. It was easy to install. Put the sticky washers on the seat frame first, then peel off the backing when ready to place the assembled unit in position. With the 12 volt transformer supplied, the seat gets just pleasantly warm to the touch, which should be fine for most. My house is inadequately heated, so I was interested in the optional 18 v transformer offered as an accessory. I found on the manufacturer's website that the shipping for an item weighing less than a pound is excessive, so I bought a suitable 18 v plug in power supply ("brick") from Amazon. With this, the seat is downright toasty, getting to a little over 110° F. I may someday tinker something that lets me vary the voltage. So far, I am quite pleased with this product and will face the next below-zero cold snap with renewed confidence.

BEWARE! Lotions / Oils On Body Will Permanently Yellow Seat
My rating is based on the product after we have had it 2 years. I purchased this UltraTouch Heated Toilet Seat - White - Round Bowl seat in February 2017. Installation was easy - my husband did have to install an a/c outlet on wall behind toilet. Seat provides perfect temperature, not too warm and not cold. We unplugged it from the outlet during the summer. Still works like a charm. Only problem is that due to my dry itchy skin, I was using lotion this winter (2018 - 19) and it permanently yellowed the back end of the seat. None of my cleaning products can remove the yellow. I dare not use bleach because that may harm the seat surface even more. I wanted to purchase another one of these seats, but they have almost doubled in price. I paid approx. $98 which included shipping and tax. That's what happens when someone has an excellent product - they capitalize on it. Please reduce your price - more potential customers might be willing to purchase this toilet seat.

Ultimate comfort for a reasonable price
I don't know why I waited so long to purchase this, other than trying to convince my wife that this would make a big difference to our "daily" routine. It took her all of two days of "oooh, aaah, hey - this feels really good!" before she admitted that for once, my shopping prowess had paid off. The heated seat works exactly as advertised. The power supply that comes with it will raise the average seat temp to about 20 degrees above the room temp, and if your house is like ours with the temp set at just above deep freeze to save on our energy bills, this one little item will make a huge difference in your comfort level for that all important time on your throne! They even toss in an bonus extension cable so that the wiring will reach about 10 feet to the nearest outlet. The included low voltage wiring uses a small cable, so no bulky wiring to contend with. The seating surface is very comfortable on it's own, even without the heat turned on. This unit pulls about 15-20 watts of power, about the same as two old fashioned night lights. Highly recommended!!

Ahh, so nice
I love the warm toilet seat. I have to admit I bought it for my wife, but it's so nice when the weather is cold that I sit down even when it's not absolutely necessary :) The transformer that comes with the seat has an extension so we were easily able to reach to a plug. It really is nice to have a warm seat to sit on, especially if you live in a cold climate and you keep your house cool. Things were great for 2 years (by the way we unplug it in the summer) but then at the beginning of the 3rd winter it stopped working. I'm an electrical geek so I checked it out and the wires had broken where they enter the seat (a common problem for anything with flexible wires). I tried to fix it by doing surgery on the seat, but was unsuccessful. The manufacturer should reinforce the wires at the point they will flex the most (where they enter the seat). I would still recommend it but would also recommend doing some simple reinforcement of the wires where they enter the seat (just something so they won't flex right there). If the wiring break was 2 or 3 inches from where the wires go into the seat they could easily be repaired. I'll get onther one, it's just a matter of time...

This is a great product!!
This is one of the best products I ever bought. The worst feeling is getting up during the night and sitting on a cold toilet bowl. This is so comfortable and so warm and I even leave it on in the summer. The price was very reasonable. People have come to visit and loved it. Three people have already ordered one for themselves. I recommend it highly.

Don't dread sitting on toilet seat. It's warm!!
Had one in the master bath for several years before we sold our house. We bought a new one and it's everything great just like first one! Just bought this one for Hall bath since we use it a lot. Perfect. Keep the lid down!! No, it doesn't feel like your sitting on a heating pad! It takes the "brrr" off the toilet seat. You know it's warm, just compare to a regular seat, "brrr.
