I have found multiple uses for these: getting clothing out of back of dryer, picking up things that drop under my desk, picking up after a visit from my toddler grandson, reaching things off top shelves, etc.They are sturdy and work well.

These grabbers are top notch. The 21" I have picked up crumbs on carpet, on wood floor a dime. I pick up my boots and drop the boots off where I am going to put them. The 34" I got a heavy guart pickle jar inside a kitchen cabinet and safety put it down on the counter top. I switch the direction of my ceiling fans while standing flat footed on the floor. I think you get the picture. Awesome effort saving tool and much safer than stools, chairs, ladders and back problems from bending and over reaching.

I use several grabbers daily. Have them all over my apartment.I am handicapped. Arthritis in my hands, shoulders, etc.I thought the grabbers I've had for years were the best. They have lasted a long time, and are still working well.Then I bought a couple others. They didn't hold much weight and one of them broke. The one that didn't break is still useful for lighter items.Note:(You can either buy a set of two long ones in one order, or I bought the set with one long and one much shorter. The shorter one is nice for items to pick up right around my lift chair).So glad I bought these!The shaft is steel. So strong, and can lift quite a bit.The handle is totally encased in a very strong plastic. Top of the handle has rubber for a good grip, smooth underneath, the whole handle feels good in your hand. The mechanism works in the hand very smoothly and is comfortable to use.The actual bottom part that grabs the item swivels. You pull it out, (very easily, I might add), and twist left or right, however you you want it placed to pick up an item.The bottom grabber mechanism is made of really strong plastic, (will hold up), and has rivets, a very good design.Inside the grabber is really durable rubber, real rubber, it grips really well. Easy to clean out too.I would give these grabbers a ten, if I could! I have looked at so many on Amazon, and found these are the best.........I did not get this as a promotion from the company, nor am I being paid. I am also not asked by the company or Amazon to rate this device and give it a high rating.I am a person who struggles everyday and needs a dependable device to help me get through it.Buy this.....I know you've read some false advertisements and reviews on Amazon. Love these! The most notable feature is the smooth action of the grip and I figured out they work exceptionally well for picking wild blackberries and black raspberries from deep within the thorny bushes. Easy to pick off berries without crushing them nor getting torn up by the thorns. Also works well on my cherry tree! I have an older and different brand of grabber but it snaps so it was crushing berries and cherries.Obviously a seasonal period for such a use but I just clean off the tips before heading out to berry patches. Thanks to the birds that dropped berries years ago and created the random patches.The gripping power is also high so I can tackle heavy objects.

Really great grabber, works well, well made......oh oh cable broke, not really heavy duty.

These "grabby" sticks are very good quality. They can handle picking up heavier things, don't lose grip easily, and won't bend in the middle. If you're going to spend money on these kind of tools, this is a great brand to go with. I got my first one about 10 years ago, and it just barely bit the dust.

These are quite handy for reaching something where the use of a longer gizmo would be a bit unwieldy. I think the handles rotate to make it even more easy to use. Also good for reaching something if for instance you drop something while sitting on a sofa. It is not a product I have needed too often, but when I do need it, I am very happy to have it.

I got these to help with hip replacement surgery.We already had a couple of the 3ft grabbers, but unless I'm reaching for something on a top shelf, I found these shorter ones are actually easier to maneuver.The grippers are nice and tactile for picking up even small items, yet they open wide enough to manage most normal household items.The lever is very comfortable and easy to manipulate and I imagine would be comfortable if someone has any issues with hand strength.I didn't really find the need to rotate the jaws, but it's nice that's possible and very easily done by just pulling the jaw out and twisting it to the other position.I've only used these for household purposes and haven't needed to grab anything of substantial weight so I can't speak to durability under those conditions. For reaching for clothing, picking up/putting down pet food bowls, or retrieving small items that I've dropped - - - these are fantastic.2 of these for this price is also great. I have one downstairs in our kitchen/family room area and I can leave the other one upstairs in our bedroom/bath area.A great help with my current condition, but I also imagine these will continue to be helpful down the road as well.

I bought these for my mom who had been having hard time bending prior to hip surgery. Now following hip replacement they are a life saver, as she can reach almost everything she needs now, stuff that falls on floor, or stuff that is higher up. She states they are very sturdy compared to a previous reacher she had. That one broke after 1 week if use, ended up in garbage. She loves that there is a short one and a long one for different needs. Has been using them for weeks now with no issues. She is a very happy customer.

Don't have all the bells and whistles of competing products, BUT unlike the competitors, these reach-sticks do what is needed, easily handling heavy cans and jars jars at the back of cupboards, as easily as small bits of tags and labels.Much, Much stronger than the competitors.Shorter version is handy for out and about excursions.Designed to go the distance.

I've had a cheap version of a grabber that hasn't been of much use and I'm so pleased I took the plunge and bought this pair. They are just what I needed now that I've shrunk in my old age and can't easily reach the top shelves in my kitchen any more. They are easy on the hands and grip strongly with no effort and bring even heavy items down to me with no worries about dropping them. I'd recommend these to anyone who needs a little help reaching for things on high or at a distance. They save me dragging out the stepstool as often. Good product. I keep them on top of the fridge, handy but out of the way.

Not cheap but best grabber I have ever had. Quality is good and well made.
