TSB968GL 15.6" Intellect Advanced Slim Laptop Backpack - Water-Resistant, Ergonomic Laptop Case for Devices Up To 15.6" Screens

I recently acquired a fine tiny laptop for myself (it’s a Dell Inspiron 3147, and is a little over 11.75" by a little under 8" and ¾" thick) and needed a new case to fit it. My criteria for a good case were simple enough: it had to fit reasonably well (not too tight or loose), it had to have adequate padding, and it needed an extra pocket to fit a charging cable, small travel mouse, and an external dvd player. That’s all I wanted, and I didn’t realize at the time how hard it would be to find a case matching these simple requirements. I looked all over in both physical stores and online before finally finding this Targus-branded laptop case. My laptop fits beautifully into this case – it’s just snug enough without being too tight. If you have a larger laptop than mine, though, I daresay it would not fit, so keep that in mind. As for padding, it isn’t the absolute best padding ever, but it is reasonable enough to keep the laptop safe. I wouldn’t swing it around and smack people with it, but…you know what I mean. I don’t know if it’d survive a fall onto its side (a good hit to the corner would crack the laptop, probably) if you dropped it, but if you’re gentle with it, it can survive being set down on its edge regularly (although it isn’t really capable of standing up on its side like a briefcase) and will protect it from your average bumps and jostles. I do wish it was a bit stronger in the padding, but honestly if you’re careful with it, it should be okay. Lastly, despite being rather slim and svelte, it was able to hold all my required items. There is an interior pocket divider in the big pocket, and the divider is really well padded – this means it protects the laptop from getting scuffed/scratched by whatever you happen to be storing in the other pockets, so this is quite the good feature. There is also a second, very thin fabric divider to, so technically, that's three sections in the larger pocket. I put my dvd player and it’s usb cable into the other compartment (one remains empty), while my laptop stays in the most heavily padded compartment (there's a nifty velcro strap to help keep the laptop in place). On the outside of the bag, there's a smaller pocket that is just big enough to hold my charging cable and mouse (there’s even some nice tiny pockets in here, too, along with pen holders. I use one of the tiny pockets to hold my mouse). I suppose I should also mention that this comes with a shoulder strap (I don't really use mine though, and leave it off) and some nice carrying handles. Lastly, this wasn’t on my requirement list, but I did want something that seemed to be well-made and durable, and this case fits the bill. I’m super glad I finally managed to find a decent laptop bag for my needs, and I really think Targus struck a good balance here between functionality, size, slimness, weight and durability. I do wish it were a bit more padded, but I'm sure that would've added a lot more bulk to the case, so I see why they didn't do it. I’m overall satisfied, so I can definitely recommend it if you have a tiny laptop of the right size!

I like everything about this case. The size is perfect to fit my iPad Air along with any cables I need to have with me and cushioned well for protection. Plus there's enough room to add a notebook if I need it or a few other items. I also like the inclusion of a shoulder strap so I can choose what works best in difference circumstances. It looks nice and seem very sturdy (although I haven't had it long enough to really know). I think this would also work well for a small laptop. Not too big, not too small.

I really like how compact this laptop backpack is plus the side net pockets for water bottle or sunglasses. Easy to travel on airplanes with this bag which I carry my 15.6" Macbook, my Ipad Pro 11, and a notebook - plus all my cables, web cam, etc. My only request (-1 star) applies to ALL backpack manufacturers targeting laptop owners - put some PADDING at the bottom of the main pocket to protect the laptop from bag drops.

Handy dandy, and understated just how I love most of things. I like the slim profile; it's much much larger than a laptop sleeve with a strap and considerably larger than your average laptop case. it is smaller than your standard backpack but if you're not using it for traveling (packing clothes/ toiletries), then this is perfect for a laptop, 1 inch binder, a couple of files, writing utensils, phone and and a couple of personal items (smaller than about 5 by 3 in). I'm not sure how durable it is because I haven't had it very long, but it is very comfortable and has just the right number of zippers--not too many that you can't remember where something is but enough to keep things organized.

I needed a simple, inexpensive, and reasonably rugged shoulder bag for an iPad and related charger. This case is working well.

Over the past 6 months I have purchased 8 small/medium backpacks to carry my 13” MacBook Pro and 11” iPad Pro to, from and around the university where I teach. Today I received my new Targus backpack, and now my search for the perfect EDC bag is finally over! Not too small with many pockets, it is a comfortable carry even with the two devices onboard. Lower back problems prevents me from carrying a more hefty pack, so this is a welcome remedy…and didn’t cost a ton!

Using this bag for over 6 months now, great quality, zippers are working just fine. Best value for money if you buy this in sale price.

In the description, for volume it said 45l. However, this is a smaller bag than I thought and on the label it was 18L.
