What are Aftermarket Wheels?

Aftermarket wheels are custom wheels sold separately from the vehicle and not originally provided by the manufacturer. Most aftermarket wheel designs feature narrow holes for the lug nuts, requiring narrow lug nuts and thin-wall sockets.

Can I use these lug nuts on the wheels that came on it from the dealership (original equipment)?

Narrow aftermarket lug nuts should never be used on any original equipment wheels as they use unique lug styles for each brand and model. These lug nuts are designed for aftermarket aluminum wheels with clearance for a 19mm hex socket.

What if I can't fit a thin-wall 19mm Hex lug nut socket in my aftermarket wheel?

If that is the case, your aftermarket wheels are only compatible with spline-style lug nuts and a hex lug nut is not an option. Not all aftermarket wheels have lug holes wide enough for standard lug nuts, so it's important to check before purchasing!

If the ConfirmedFit tool says these lug nuts fit my vehicle, why is the type of wheel I have important?

This tool uses our expert data to match your vehicle's thread size only, but it can't tell if you've changed your wheels. If you just bought new aftermarket wheels and want narrow hex lug nuts instead of spline lug nuts you're in the right place.
