Tip for easy fitting
I read a review here by someone who mentioned he/she had a tough time fitting the metal key part into the plastic sleeve (that slots into the main body) and had to use a vice, hammer, and punch to knock it into place. It is a very tight fit - as it should be. I warmed the plastic sleeve with a heat gun (a standard hair dryer would also do), slid the plastic sleeve perfectly into place, and let it cool. SUPER tight fit, no hassle. Works like a charm, with a VERY tight fit overall.I'd recommend this product to any Lexus/Toyota owner with a broken key fob casing!

Great Value But…
It required a few tools to fit my GX470 properly. Sliding the key completely through the keeper was impossible by manually pressing it (even with the help of a blunt object). The assembly will not properly fit together unless the key is fit in the keeper all the way. So with the help of a punch, hammer, and vice after a few light taps the key was snuggly seated in the keeper (see attached pictures).

Very satisfied. Hard to get the key in...once you get it is great.
I like the price. I couldn't figure out how to do it. The key opening is so narrow it did not fit. You have to forced in. But once is in it works great. I recommend it. Durability not sure. I have only have it a few weeks. I think the trick in not to drop the key, that's how my original broke.

Almost Perfect
I have a 2004 Lexus RX330 and the key fob shell had broken into 2 pieces. This was just a little too tight to allow the key blade hilt to insert easily. It cracked the shell but held together. It is a whole key again, but will treat gingerly so it doesn't fail. If there was a little more internal room for the blade hilt to seat, then it would be a five star. It is still good value for money and has at least reunited the two pieces.

Doesn’t fit SC KEYS
I’m really disappointed. When I originally searched for Lexus Sc key replacement cover this item popped up. In the top of the post it shows that it fits Sc model keys. But apparently if you scroll down under models for reference the Sc isn’t listed. Now I broke my damn key cover to put in this even more cause my original one was cracked and difficult to keep together but now I have a broken key case- I can’t put back together cause I broke the plastic part where key is, and a new crappy cover that doesn’t fit the key. Everything fits except for the plastic piece that holds the key. No matter how much force is used it won’t go on completely. I have to drive this car often as battery dies quickly in it if not and now no damn key and since not essential who knows how long will take to get replacement. SOOO DISAPPOINTED. The key flares out at top and this will not fit it. Please make sure the item description accurately states what models this will work for, and that matches the referenced models at the very bottom of post cause this is now creating a huge problem for me.....

Ok aftermarket option
Not sure about durability yet, the metal blade fits in rather tight and will crack the plastic holder if not careful. Then when all pieces are sandwiched together it’s too thick to close all the way so after some time sanding and filing in places it fits and looks almost like OEM but with the micro wood screw instead of an actual metal/fine thread screw I worry about life length but way cheaper than the stealership!!

Perfect fit!
This was a great replacement for my 2008 Lexus RX-350 key fob when my old key fob cracked. When removing the metal part of the key from the old case, you may have to break off the plastic bits to release the metal tab part of the key. Slip the front plastic part over the metal tab--it will take some effort to get it all the way through. I used a small needle nose pliers to get the metal tab all the way through the front plastic piece. The rest of it goes together easy, just make sure you have the correct orientation to get the screw to go in all the way. Oh replace the battery while you have it apart!
