But I also feel really great..
I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to do so with this book. I have struggled with 10 or 15 lbs for most of the last 10 years. I am 51 and have well managed but stubborn hashimotos thyroid disease. I am an avid reader of health and nutrition books and I am willing to try most plans once....so I have. Only a few ever work for me. No joke, i would often follow plans to a T for a few days and gain a couple of pounds...maddening to say the least. I'm only 3 days in but I will tell you this program is simple but also very unique in a few ways that I think are whats making it so effective for me. I have lost 3 lbs in 3 days (only have 10 or 15 to lose total). But I also feel really great...mentally and physically! Mind you I already ate healthy food and exercised regularly...i've done so most of my life but the recent holidays... 3 kids later and thyroid disease caused the excess weight no matter what. This is very doable and simple!! The hardest thing for me to get used to eating nothing between lunch and dinner...i followed so many plans that allow you to eat veggies and/or regular snacks like almonds and such during the afternoon and evening...and I realized I was constantly taking little bites of what I thought was healthy...my lunches on Stark Naked are very filling and they carry me through till the evening. I'm having a large bowl of green soup, some sauteed chicken, other veggies and half of avocado...delish. I'm not hungry so i think i was eating more emotionally and I was conditioned to eat tons of small meals per day. I also looooove my big giant one cup full of sweet potato ( and could be white potato!! ) at night! for years i've read that even good carbs should only be eaten early in the day.. i really enjoy a hearty dinner with some carbs...and I'm sleeping better too. nightly Ive had a snack pack of raw cashews from Trader Joes. Trust me, I've tried Paleo, Fast Metabolism, The Plan....some heavy duty complicated eating plans....the beauty of this plan is in its simplicity. I'm thrilled that I get to eat from all the food groups in the same day and can enjoy small amounts of organic heavy cream and great tasting butter. I havent done it yet but I think you could eat out on this plan pretty easily. a nice piece of fish broiled, veggies and potato. I decided to write when i say the last review gave a one star rating. I agree somewhat....the narration may not be stellar but bottom line this is a really healhty plan that seems to be working and I feel excited to stay on and see where it takes me!! I will update. Thank you Brad Davidson. I hope this is the answer and I can get back down to my wedding weight :)

FFinally found something that kicked my hormones into gear again and pounds shed.
Amazing book and meal plan. I have struggled to get the scale to go down and belly fat was out of control. I learned what my body needed so that my metabolism would work and my hormones are balanced. I feel so great just doing this plan for one week. Energy, happy feeling, and lost 4 pounds. The best id my belly fat went down so much. I am so excited to finish the 21 days. I peeked at phase 2and will love it. This is my new habits. Healthy and smart.

Great program, you WILL feel better!!!!! Only setback is the expense of eating this healthy:(
Great program, makes sense and both my boyfriend and I are losing weight, feel better and have more energy. The only thing that kept me from giving the book 5 stars is the expense of eating this way. This is no fault of the program, but my grocery cost has almost tripled since starting this program 14 day ago. We plan to continue after the 21 days since we both feel SO much better, just may have to get another job to cover food costs!!! We have both also lost weight, but really this is secondary to just feeling so much better, less tired, grumpy, listless, etc......The smoothies are fantastic, and more affordable if you get frozen fruit this time of year.

Finally, I Understand Why Weight Loss Has Been So Challenging
Finally a book that helps me understand what's going on with my metabolism and why weight loss has been so challenging. I like that it's written for "over achievers" because right from the start the author validates that you're not lazy, you're not unmotivated, you've been successful in every other aspect of your life, so why is weight loss so hard? Just started the plan and cannot report on "results" yet but I can say that what he shares and explains makes sense and "loving your liver" is what I'm doing now. I feel better, so that's a start. Thanks Brad Davidson for documenting your approach. Oh, and it's a "good read," meaning that he and his co-writer, Laura Morton, use language beautifully. Who thought a self-help health book would be such a pleasure to read. Well done!

Not for Vegans or Vegetarians
I just wish he could back up his diet choice. Why certain fruits are not on his 21-day reset? Why certain vegetables are bad? Same with nuts. It just seems he picked them randomly or ones that don’t agree with his particular metabolism. I am vegan and was quite disappointed that he includes so many animal products. Those of us who do not partake have very little choice of foods. Disappointed as I was hoping for a broader range. He caters to the Paleo Diet.
