Divoom Pixoo Pixel Art Digital Picture Frame with 16x16 LED Display APP Control - Cool Animation Frame Wall/Desk Mount for Gaming Room & Bedside Table -Black

I have always been curious about these Divoom light panels and decided to try one out......and to say I was blown away is an understatement!! These panels are incredible!!! They are so simple but add such a dynamic and vibrant bit of life in any room, simple to use and with thousands upon thousands of designs premade for you to use. All connected via Bluetooth, it's easy to set up and sync images you like as well as make your own with the app itself, including animations! Also, it was great to see the display had a long lasting battery and used USB C to charge (it's good to see them being used!) It's a very small form factor and super thing for how long it lasts on one charge and the brightness it gives. It has a nifty little kick stand which makes it great for the desk or you can hang it up using the photo hook on the back like I'm planning to. It also comes with sticky cups to attach to glass or smooth surfaces.....even your car! I'm tempted to get another few panels down the line as you can sync them all up to play a bigger image which is pretty cool! Overall, the battery last a long time, the LEDs are super bright and the app brilliantly ties it all together to make an awesome looking talking point anywhere you put it. I would definitely recommend this for someone who loves tech or wants to geek out on retro pixel art! I love it!!!!

This isn't my first Divoom product and I loved the other so much which is why I bought the Pixoo Max. It doesn't have a speaker but it is 32x32 which opens up a lot of versatility in your display. It doesn't need an app technically as it does work out the box but the app is really important as it's how you can customise it. You can create your own pictures or choose from a never ending ongoing library from other users. I've found some people have some really good animations! The functionality of the app is fairly straight forward, it feels a little dated but it does cater towards a more retro theme so I'm fine with it. I've had it running for a few months now 24/7 and I've had no issues. The quality of the screen is great and the product itself feels very high end. I do think £69.99 is quite expensive but I also think it's fair. You can pick it up on sale like I did though. I'm really happy with it and it adds a lovely amount of charm to the room.

This product has a number of features besides the Pixel art function, it can be used as a sleep aid, clock/alarm clock, calendar, and even a notification device once paired via Bluetooth with the smart app The Divoom Pixoo has a 2500 mAh battery that can last for around 8 hours depending on use, and can be set to sleep once inactive Once the Divoom Smart app is installed, you will be able to set the time 12/24 hours, temperature display, light intensity, auto power off. Now to explore the core functions, you can then browse the hundreds of uploaded images in the community, as well as create your own. I personally use this as a wall clock, but love the versatility of it, can be hung on a wall or stood up like a picture frame, if you compare it to other similar products this has bags more function and more bang for your buck

We already had a Divoom Tivoo retro TV and just love the pixel display, so buying the Pixoo was an easy choice! It has a larger screen than the Tivoo while still offering the same great pixel display with the additional option of using it either on a flat surface with the included stand or hanging it on a wall. It runs off a long-lasting battery so if you do decide to hang it on a wall you don’t need to run a cable to it, however if you do choose to have it wall mounted and connected to the mains permanently then it’s great to see that it was designed to lay flush as there is a cut-out for the cable to be attached. As we already had the app installed and an account created connecting was very easy. The Pixoo connects to your device using Bluetooth. Once connected you may be promoted for a firmware update which only takes a couple of minutes, great to see an active developer. Then you can explore all Pixoo’s possibilities. In the Discovery tab you are given the option of designing you own image, animation and scrolling text message - all offering a large variety of options. For those folk that are musically creative there is even a DJ mixer! Alarm, stopwatch, timer and basic calendar features are also useful. It even includes a noise meter! Using it to display notifications from popular social media platforms might be of particular use to some. We like to use the weather function and have it scrolling with the time, temperature and conditions (pulled from your connected device via Bluetooth). In the Channel tab you can customise what is on screen, the day it was delivered we immediately put it to use for a birthday celebration - a scrolling message and a cake animation were just perfect. There are a variety of other options to choose from, but one of our favourites is the Visualiser - making the animation react according to the ambient sounds it picks up using its in-built microphone. The Gallery tab opens what appears to be a limitless selection of community based designs which can be great to quickly search through. Designs based on just about anything can be found, suitable for any occasion imaginable. Music tab allows you to connect to some online radio stations, but the sound will come from your connected device - unlike Tivoo it doesn’t have a speaker, which is perhaps the only negative thing I can find (of course, it would change the product slightly and increase its cost). Pixoo is a great device for both those less creative and with less free time and those with more time and ideas you can really personalise it and share those designs with a large community within the app. At the moment Pixoo is on offer and at just over £30 it’s impossible to fault - the amount of options it offers is incredible. For real fans of pixel displays, up to 4 can be connected together to form one super-sized display!

Pixoo frames are a lot of fun. It's my favourite non-essential item of the year. They're built very well with thick, matte finish (glossier products tend to look cheap) and the screen is bright enough to entertain my neighbours and passers-by and looks great in minimalist or colourful interior. As a motion designer creating pixel art is a great creative practice to do every day; the Divoom app is fantastic for this and there's a large, productive and inspiring community already out there creating some very impressive art and animations. The app itself is mostly easy to use with some nice UX for single and multi-screen arting and importantly, connects to bluetooth quickly and easily. I've tested with iPad, and Android and both work without a hitch. I'm looking forward to contributing some multi-screen animations to on the art-walks around these parts. In the meantime, I've given this house some excellent animated creepy eyes to give people something fun to spot while jogging past.

My husband bought this thing and he loves it. You can download your own animations and add them to the rotation or create your own. And you can also just sort of pick a theme and let it loop on its own. Is it overpriced for what it is, yeah probably but it's fun and he likes it and that's all that matters

This was purchased since I naturally wanted a pixel display - one which would also give me social media notifications, but I wasn't prepared to shell out £170 for the LaMetric Time. I opted for the black frame version, since I don't see the point of a frame if it's going to blend in with a white wall. The 16 x 16 (256) pixel display is bright and vibrant. Colours are distinct with no fading or similarities. Each pixel tend to be more bright towards the center which only lends towards the looks. After downloading the Divoom app, I switched on the unit to be greeted by a Bluetooth logo which signified that it was listening for a connection. I tapped 'Connect' in the app and the unit was detected immediately. Clicking one of the animated pictures on my iPad display it was immediately cast onto the Pixoo display. It looked (and looks) great! Some of the animations don't simply feature a colour per pixel. There are fantastic looking blended colours available through the app which give a great sense of ambience to the room called 'VJ Effects'. There's a whole range of animations and features to choose from including Divoom presets and a constantly updated user gallery on the cloud in which people develop and submit their own still images and animations. Of course, you can do the same! The editor is intuitive and user friendly. Though I haven't finished an animation, a friend of mine has and he achieved a great end result animating a rise above a cityscape. Some user animations are very creative and some hilarious. There's a whole range of features too including: Chat, Alarm, Countdown, Planner, Game, Noise Meter, Scoreboard, Notifications, Weather, Celebration Days and DJ mixer. Though this particular unit doesn't feature a speaker in it, the sound in some features simply emanates from your tablet or phone. The unit does feature a microphone however, so you can take advantage of the 'Vizualizer' animations in which faces move in sync with the sound, a woman dances, or traditional equalizer bars move. There's also a range of abstract equalizers - vertical and horizontal. The display can be used as a simple light too of any colour. This essentially means that every single pixel is coloured the same, so it radiates a single colour of your choice. You can also adjust the brightness level for this feature. There's an option to display a digital clock too and this occasionally flips into a the temperature and weather which is read in from a live forecast site for your location after you enable GPS in setting on your device. The weight of the unit isn't too heavy, nor too light. Build quality is reasonable. The unit runs from a charge, though I only had mine hung on the wall without being plugged into USB for a day until my white (to match wall) USB cable came in the post. Though it's not very aesthetic in contrast to running from the battery, I like to know that it's always going to be powered up. In comparison to the Lametric Time, which is only coloured on a quarter of the display on the left (the rest being white pixels only for text), this is an absolute steal. On that note, this unit also gives social media alerts in a similar fashion to the Lametric Time. After entering your usernames in the app for each social media account, if someone follows you on Twitter or Facebook etc, it will flash up the logo of the corresponding social media platform. This is a great feature, though the visual alert is very quick (1-2 seconds), so I often miss it. This unit doesn't keep track of the numbers of Followers etc, which is a unique feature of the Lametric Time, which also alerts audibly. Nonetheless, this unit represents awesome value for money. It really helps to spice up your room and what's more, thanks to the features in the app, it's entirely functional. I liked mined so much in the first hour, I jumped back onto Amazon to purchase one for my friend as a surprise gift.....and it was well received! Get one!

Ok so Pro's: 1). Good display, funky design, lots of functionality 2). App is not as hard as everyone says, had to google one part but then it all made sense 3). Very techy and modern but also looks like a picture frame on the desk so doesnt need to be exclusively in an office but could be on a wall etc. Con's 1). The S&P 500 tracker (the reason i got this) is in chinese... doesnt effect using it, but does look cheaper than it should because of this. Also, there is a delay so i wouldn't rely on it souly for trading, but good to monitor price throughout the day 2). My chosen S&P500 window (despite being listed as the default window) doesnt load when this first starts up, so i have to manually put it on or it randomly shows me an array of pixel images instead 3). They don't read comments on the app, as about 1000 people have asked them to fix the chinese in the stock ticker and they never have. I'd say its a cool piece of kit that the manufacturer could really improve if they put a tiny pit of time into fixing the software. It's a shame as it does look like a cool stock ticker if they can make it work a little more smoothly.
