I purchased these as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend who had them as a child. The Charlie Chips were very tasty and we loved the tin that they came in... however because they were shipped and not packaged well the chips were pretty broken up. Was still worth a one time purchase for Christmas but probably won’t purchase again.

I bought this for my mother with dementia thinking the “Charlie Chip can” would bring back some happy memories. She does seem to like it! The chips are the same as I remember from the late 1970’s, and more importantly, the tin is the same. As for a review of the product, I feel in the current environment, it’s a fair deal. Nothing is as cheap as it was in the late 20th century. The tin came packaged well and the bag inside the tin was in tact without any visible crushed chips. The chips themselves have a nice very lightly salted flavor and taste fresh. I have not tried the BBQ nor the ripple chips, just the regular flat chips. The tin seems well constructed and should be very reusable. My uncle has tins from in the 1970’s, and he will “occasionally run them through the dishwasher” for a good clean. I bought a new tin for him as well 12/2022, and he plans to do the same with his new tin. I like that the metal lid for the container is well fitted, yet simple to remove. I have some arthritis in my hands, but until I went to write this review, hadn’t thought about wether it was hard to open the can. To me, that means that it’s easy to open so I did not have to think about it, I just did it. The lid does or just fall off, either. It’s just perfect. I highly recommend this, especially as a nostalgic gift for some of our “older” generations to remember the “good old days.”

This is truly a rip off! 40 bucks for a bag of chips in a can. It's nostalgic for sure, but the tin is very small and inside is an average size bag of chips. Never again!!

My dad use to get these when I was a kid, still love them and they are still great chips.

Didn’t try the chips, but the recipient loved the gift as these brought back many grand memories of his childhood as did it mine. Glad you can still get these in a tin. A tad pricey but love the nostalgia of it.

The post office delivered to the wrong mailbox . It took about a month to find it. Product was fine.

This was advertised as original tin, it is not. I remember back in the 60's when Charles Chips delivered to my house, my sister and me would run home from school just to get the tin off the front steps and start snacking, there was no plastic bag in it back then, just good chips. This tin is much smaller, it is not the original one period!! Thinking it was the one we remembered is why I paid the high price, but we will never purchase this item again. The chips do taste good though, just not worth the money.
