FOAMPADLRG Universal Foam Pad, Large, 300 x 200 mm

This is a perfect replacement air filter for most of my petrol garden tools. I can cut the large pad to the size I require for different size filters. Does a good job as far as I can tell.

I had hoped to make two filters from the purchased 300mm * 200mm peice of foam. However my foam was 2mm short in each dimension. Did the job well but a lot of foam unusable. Be aware that the item is slighly smaller than indicated.

A4 sized filter which i have used for my DIY airbrush booth (non toxic fumes). Collects my paint particles no problem.

Got this as a replacement for my air filter in Vax hoover. The sheet was enough to cut 4 filters. Worked extremely well in the hoover. Very happy with the results!

Works well worth the money

This is the second time I've found grit and dust in the air box downstream of A Ramair foam air filter. The other filter was one of their enclosed inducing filter kits. I found fine dust on the inside of the airbox ducting of that one. "Not good" I thought to myself, although I had originally blamed myself for placing the air duct entry to near the ground. But the problem still persisted. Now I find that this flat panel filter has allowed not only dust, but distinctly gritty stuff to get downstream of the airbox. Goodness knows what damage this filter could have caused my engine. I've not seen any mention of using an oil with these foam filters. I'm not sure it would work, but clearly there needs to be some other way of arresting dust and grit in these filters. I'll be going back to an OEM filter, or possibly an oil infused K&N filter. Prevails these filters are seen as high air volume performance. Perhaps where out and out performance is essential, the compromise of allowing some dirt through is considered worth while. But for long engine health I'd steer well clear of Ramair.
