The hinges themselves work well but the screw heads protrude too much which means when you close the door, the screws resist full closure because they push into the door frame. You need to replace screws with 3mm diameter screws so the heads are flush with the hinge when screwed in. Dropped two stars on the value for money score because I had to buy new screws which were as expensive as the hinges.

It's a standard quality product, for a good price, that does the job.

I used these on 16mm MDF doors and they worked perfectly. I was a little doubtful about the fixing on the edge of the MDF and as the doors were 48” high a used 3 hinges per door. However I think that 2 hinges would have been adequate. I’m a belt and braces man I’m afraid. Would certainly recommend.

These were too big for what they were to be used for owing to the slimness of the door being only an understairs cupboard type door. I did by the smaller one though as quite a nice hinge.

Good sturdy but small hinges, this is the second time I have bought these as they are excellent

First hinge I ordered was great. Seemed to contain a bearing and very strong looks good, fitted my 18mm doors perfectly. So I decided to purchase 10 hinges..What arrived was NOT the same as the first purchase. The 10 that came where all Smith & Locke hinges the type you get from hinges screwfix. Really cheap to buy in screw fix £1.09 each (so be warned) the quality is also poor hence buying a first trial as they have a tendency to warp and pull out of the 10 I purchase 6 so far have now got deformed hinges and just look cheap and nasty.Really disappointed waste of £40
