Very happy with this book, so much easier to read than the Omni book.

Good book, most of his songs in 1 book - One I see is that the Parker McShann tune labeled The Jumpin' Blues isn't the song played by Stanley Turrentine and Jimmy Smith on MIDNIGHT SPECIAL or Dexter Gordon on the album THE JUMPIN' BLUES although both give Parker McShann as co composers. The other Parker McShann tune Hootie Blues is correctly labeled as Sonny Stitt alludes to it on STITT PLAYS BIRD. I don't know what this other song is so it's probably another Jay McShann tune. Doesn't sound like Be-Bop Many good tunes for all levels of play. There is no Discography - The CD's are complete Verve Master Takes which includes standards, none are included here - Complete Savoy, Complete Dial master takes individualy or combined. Of course you can also download indivdiual tracks by Parker or later day players playing his songs.
