Good reader!
I really like this fingerprint reader. Its small in size and definitely looks good in my device. However, the API for it is really limited. If you want to do some basic access control, this device does great! However, sometimes it doesn't register fingerprints properly. So if you have extremely large or small fingers or barely any fingerprint, this might not work well. It worked great for me though!

Frustrating
This is by far the hardest thing I've ever had to interface with. It's documentation is absolute trash and there is very little online to help. Don't waste your $30 on this dumb component that only works if you connect it up to the online program. So frustrating.

Works, but read details...
The only strange thing is it takes 3.3V - 6V power, but logic is only 3.3V (at least this is my understanding from the instructions). Also, it recommends not leaving it "ON" all the time, but instead using a touch-sense device to turn it on. Also, they should offer a bezel to mount this in. I had to machine my own to use it. This takes much extra time. Other than that communication commands are fairly simple to figure out and it seems to work fairly well.

Has only been powered on.
I havent used this yet. I did power it up to see if it would turn on and it did. Im a procrastinating hobbiest, when i use it ill probably 5 star it.

Worth buying.
Works perfectly fine. I used it on a project I was building in python and was able to get it to work. The program provided works only for windows. You'll have to look for separate libraries in GIThub.

Defective sensor...no replacement
Fingerprint sensor did not work. I thought this was a cheaper. Turns out they gave a low quality product. My first total loss of money on Amazon
