Beautiful Childhood Yellow Submarine Model
Simply Beautiful!!! All my childhood memories came back. I actually had the original yellow submarine back in 1969, I think one year after the film was released. I was only five at the time. It got lost somewhere and I was crying. Now, after all those years, I suddenly saw it on Amazon; the perfect replica. And this time, I will treasure it and keep it very safe in front of me. Faithful reproduction of the original...
My big sister gave me an original Corgi Yellow Submarine back in the early 80s when I moved into my flat. You do your mate a kindness by putting him up for a couple of weeks until he finds his own place and what does he do?...nicks my Yellow Submarine - thanks mate. The only major difference between this and the original is the hatches are yellow and not red. Good price... only to find it dropped two quid a day after ordering...ho hum. Happy bunny anyway.

Quality product
When I received this, I thought that the tabs to release the hatches were not operating. After contacting the seller I found out that, instead of pushing the tabs in as I was doing, I should push the tabs down. Voila! No problems. The submarine is beautiful and sturdy. The box is superb. Exactly as shown in the pictures. All in all I am very satisfied with this product.

Bon rapport qualité/prix,conforme au descriptif
Beaucoup plus jeune, Il y à plus de quarante ans je l'avais reçu en cadeau, puis malheureusement égaré. Je viens de le retrouver sur Amazon. Il correspond parfaitement à l'original et ravive de vieux souvenirs. C'est un objet fétiche à tous fans des Beatles

Nicht nur für Beatles-Fans
Ich habe die Yellow Submarine für meinen Mann gekauft, der das Original aus seiner Kindheit kennt. Seiner Meinung nach unterscheidet sich diese Neuauflage lediglich bei der Verpackung vom Original. Die Submarine ist - wie von Corgi gewohnt und erwartet - hochwertig und ist solide verarbeitet. Beim Rollen drehen sich die Periskope mit, der Propeller bleibt (bauartbedingt nicht anders möglich, sonst würde die Submarine abheben) stehen, ist aber händisch zu bewegen. Die Luken öffnen sich nach nicht zu festem aber bestimmtem Druck auf die dafür vorgesehenen Tasten. Da es hierbei offenbar schon zu Problemen kam: Die Tasten müssen nach unten, zum Boden hin, gedrückt werden. Auf keinen Fall sollte hier mit Messern, Schraubenziehern o ä. herumgefuhrwerkt werden. Sollten sich die Luken nach Druck nicht öffnen, ist ein Kontakt mit dem Kundensupport zu empfehlen. Die Submarine ist natürlich auch ein spannendes Spielzeug für kleinere Kinder, fraglich ist aber, ob sie dafür nicht zu schade und schlicht zu hochpreisig ist. Für jugendliche und erwachsene Beatles-Fans ist sie auf jeden Fall ein Geschenk-Tipp.

Beautiful reissue of a great toy.
I bought this one for my father to replace the original one I played with, too much, as a kid. The nearly perfect look and feel of this version was amazing. It’s a beautiful thing.
