These are great locks
These locks are super easy to install and set up. We have the RING alarm system, and it integrates perfectly with it. Once installed on the door with included hardware, put batteries in, went into the Ring app and set it up in about 3 minutes. We already have one of these on another door, so we just transferred the settins (codes, etc) to this one and now the 2 of the operate exactly the same, and allow us to arm, disarm, the alarm, set specific codes for specific people, etc. The locks look good too, especially from the outside. On the inside of the door, they are a bit larger than many others I have seen, but I have had such great success with my first one that I wasnt going to try anything else. I do not use the built in alarm function because I have it automatically connected to my in home alarm. Also, interestingly, once I had it set up in Ring, I did not have to do anything more, my Alexa immediately recognized it allowing us to ask Alexa remotely if the door is locked or have Alexa Lock it. It will NOT unlock the door for safety and security reasons.

Schlage Camelot 605 brass
Iโve owned this for a year. I really like this it matchโs the Camelot brass door handles on my front door That I bought years ago I use voice and SmartThings hub and it works well. Now that said here are some of the things it does I could live with out. it auto locks after 30 seconds So if you step outside to get a package you only have 30 seconds and it locks. There should be a way to extend auto lock time . You can disable able that feature. I use Duracell batteries right from the start and they lasted from January to September. I wish this was a usb charge pack instead of batteries The last thing is once in a while the keypad stops Working doesnโt matter if itโs cold or hot day or night . Itโs rare But I have to use the key and it resets the pad but 99 percent of the time it works flawlessly So overall Iโm happy with it plus a year ago I only paid $120 cause I had points. just a note on installation Schlage has YouTube vids to help with install. You door must close perfectly before install and door handle and laches must align perfectly Before install so if not fix them before you install this If youโre not tech savvy and you donโt read instructions this is not for you. Goes backs to schools and gets you somes edumcarions haha

Excellent Lock
This lock is fantastic. We have had another lock of the same model for eight years and got a new lock for our front door, so we have the same model on the front and back. Setting it up is straight-forward, although you should download a full installation guide from the web. The abilities of this lock are numerous. You can change the beginning programming code to something memorable or keep what's provided. If you mess up with the codes, you can do a factory reset that will set the codes back to the originals at any time. (It's a good idea to keep a copy of whatever codes you use in a safe place). You can add, I think, up to 30 codes for different people, and the SmartThings app will keep track of which person opened the door when. It comes with a backup key if the electronics fail at any time. We created separate codes for the household members, as well as some temporary codes to give out to trusted people if they have to come to the house when we're away. And then any of those codes given out can be deleted as needed so they can't be used again. The WiFi app using a SmartThings hub is great - we can lock or unlock the door from anywhere, so if any friend calls us when we're away, we can let them in the door at any time if we feel they should have temporary access. It works with Alexa, so we have routines that will automatically lock the door at bedtime if we forget. When we get back from grocery shopping we can unlock the door before carrying all the bags to the door, so there's no fumbling for a key or typing a number while carrying a bunch of things. We just open the door. This lock is simply terrific.

Worst lock I've ever bought
So I first got one of these keyless entry locks back in 2018 and it lasted two or three months until the batteries were dying and needed to be replaced. After that it didn't work at all. Schlage replaced this lock under warranty in the next lock worked for 5 years until the batteries died. The batteries didn't last 5 years but the last time the batteries died and I replaced them the lock no longer worked. Turns out that you only want to put Duracell batteries in these locks otherwise they only work for a couple of days and the lock never works correctly again. Two and a half months ago I replaced the lock with this lock here and it intimately would just lock us out of the house. By the time this happened so frequently that I needed to replace the lock I was no longer able to return it to Amazon and I had spent over an hour on hold trying to speak with slage. I had absolutely no luck getting in touch with their customer service. I bought another lock And it worked great for 3 weeks until tonight, it's completely dead. Seriously schlage what's going on with your locks? I'm putting this in the box sending it back and going and getting a different brand lock. I also want to add that I I also had another style of walk put in one of my properties and it was supposed to hook up to Wi-Fi. I don't like stuff like that cuz I like to keep it simple but the lockers installed while I was away so I tried to deal with it that works for 3 days until it lost connectivity to the internet and it erased all the codes that were stored. What a waste of time and money.

Good enough
TL;DR; I personally wouldn't buy again, because I have previously had better locks. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this lock as is, it is purely between a personal preference, the quality of the battery connector, and the loud action that I have an issue with. Looks good, connects easily, operates without fail so far. Lock is as easy to install as any other non-smart lock. The battery connection worries me as it is a 9V wire connector you have to manipulate which I predict being the first part that starts to frey, and the lock is louder then previous smart locks I have used. The inside throw is a type of rotating, barrel grip of which I am not a huge fan. Manually locking the door requires gripping and turning instead of a more lever like projection that I can hook my pinky behind and just push it locked. This lock connect easily to my SmartThings hub and other systems. And it has so far been a few months with having to change out batteries. In all, I personally wouldn't buy again, because I have previously had better locks. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this lock as is, it is purely between a personal preference, the quality of the battery connector, and the loud action that I have an issue with. Looks good, connects easily, operates without fail so far.

Nice Lock - Would Buy Again!
We chose this lock because we had a keypad lock at our former home and did not want to not have one again! Keypad locks RULE. We got this specific lock because we have an older home and everything is brass hardware- and there were not many choices that had the bright brass we needed. I can't speak to how easy or hard it was to install; we were having a locksmith re-key our locks, so we added the installation of this lock to his checklist. It did not take him long, but he *is* a professional locksmith, so there's that. It's beautiful and matches our other brass hardware wonderfully. We had no programs programming it- easy peasy! We keep several codes in rotation for our dog walker, housekeeper, etc- and they have to use their personal code on our security system, so we always know who is in our home - we did not even try to connect this to wifi and will not be buying whatever you need to do so. Just the code is perfect. It works great, and we've had it several months now and have not had to change the battery. So far A+, would buy again!

Stylish modern upgrade to any front door
I wanted a smart lock solution for our vacation home and after a lot of searching this one fit the bill. We have a major security provider and I wanted a smart lock that would integrate with their system's control module and our smart home hub. Schlage's z wave makes it very universal to communicate with multiple systems but confirm compatibility first. The second reason for this was Schlage states this deadbolt is bump resistant and it can be used with an old fashioned key. The piece of mind of using a key in the event of battery loss, frozen weather, etc. is a huge plus in my book. Another great feature is the built in alarm, so even if the main system goes down this can be a backup for the front door. My wife loved the overall look and the fit/finish is top notch and matches our home decor exactly. Installation was easy and we added secure deadbolt striker plates with 3" screws. Make sure to align everything before cutting (measure 3 times, cut/drill 1 time) and putting it is is easy. It uses standard batteries which is also a big plus. After 8 months the batteries are still going strong. The key pad looks great and once you know how to turn on the light it is easy to use in the dark. You can program in multiple codes so you can keep track of who is opening the lock. Pros - Looks great, heavy and good quality frame and components. - locking mechanism is solid and operates smooth (but noisy as others have noted) - can operate as a smart lock or a dumb lock or anything in-between (can be locked from inside with a mechanical dial) - battery life is long, even with a month of below freezing temps the same set of batteries is going strong 8 months later - integrates with multiple smart systems. I can geo-fence the lock to unlock when I am in the driveway, remotely lock/unlock, and control from my primary alarm system provider's app and base station - physical keys work perfect - lighted keypad for night, but you need to know how to turn them on - supports multiple pins for different users, can be used with smart systems to know who is coming/going - easy to install and setup, had it installed into a brand new door in just under an hour and programmed in 30 min Cons - locking/unlocking is loud (the motor that operates the mechanism), this can be a plus if your want audio assurances but it can be jarring late at night/early in the morning (but you can use a key or the knob if you want to be quiet) - deadbolt alignment is an absolute must, any resistance or alignment that causes rubbing or binding will make the locking/unlocking problematic, this is why we installed the heavier duty deadbolt striker plate with deadbolt channel - z-wave is more open source, however you have to take the cover off to put the lock into paring mode which makes hacking it very hard to do without physical access to the back cover - keypad night light isn't intuitive to use, press the Schlage logo, we mitigated this with smart light-bulbs on the porch Overall, we are supper happy with this lock. My wife loves the look and feel, I love the security features and reliability. I highly recommend this as it can be used with keys and without smart feature just in case. It stays connected to my alarm system and smart home hubs without any issues. Even though we have an alarm system this holds the extra layer of security knowing if anyone tries to bump it or kick the door in an additional alarm will go off and notifications sent.

Works great and integrates with ADT Pulse system.
I owned a prior version of this lock, and after 3 years of use it quit working. However, I don't believe it was the lock's failure, but something wrong with my ADT system. I had connected this lock through my ADT Pulse system and was able to check the lock status and lock/unlock my front door through the ADT app as well as a Netgear tablet purchased through ADT. The ADT tablet went bezerk after about a year of daily use and started flashing randomly to different screens and not responding to touch. Soon, we woke up one day to find out front door lock locking and unlocking rapidly and had no idea if it had done that all night or not. From then on, we could no longer lock or unlock the door with the touchpad on the lock. We believe the Netgear ADT console had broken the lock by cycling it repeatedly all night long. We discovered, after calling ADT that they had discontinued the Netgear control pad and would no longer replace or repair it. To get another remote control pad required an almost $1,500 system upgrade to their latest system! So, I completely removed the ADT Netgear control pad from the system, then purchased this door lock, a newer version of the one we had before. With the Netgear pad now out of the ADT Pulse system, we have had no problems at all, and this version works perfectly. We can still lock and unlock the door from the ADT app on our smartphones, we just don't have the control pad from ADT in our bedroom anymore.

Works with Alexa and Ring in Canada
My experience is way better than these 1-star reviews. For me this model of schlage DOES pair up with my Ring Alarm Base Station properly. Took a few minutes to sync and was visible on the Ring APP. I also had instant abilty to lock and unlock via Alexa on my echo 8. Oh and yes I'm in Canada. One thing other reviews haven't mentioned, this could have something to do with it but a complete guess. Alexa Guard Plus from what I remember only currently works in the USA not for a Canadian Address. I did switch my home address over to a US Address which activated Alexa Guard and switched it back later. I haven't lost the functionality just checked the alexa app it's still there and logging alarm events. I never went back to use the features like activity sounds with sirens or dog barking sounds or away lighting. Not something I was interested in least not yet. MAYBE that's why alexa allows me to lock and unlock this Schlage unit?? Just something for those out there to trouble shoot if they don't have success with other suggestions. I didn't configure or use a schalge skill or another app with alexa than ring which was already connected. Much like other reviews suggest I made sure that the name of the door lock didn't conflict with other devices attached to my alexa or attached to my ring alarm base or lights or speakers or whatever. I also haven't seen anyone mention how this lock works with the Ring Alarm System / Base. I'm very happy that I can lock and unlock and see status of the lock in the ring app on the dashboard. My family painfully leaves this particular door open all the time and I'm the warden walking the halls at night locking the place up. I didn't know for SURE that i could program the lock to disarm the alarm mode once the correct keycode is entered and door unlocks. That's a good feature one less thing to worry about. Makes it easier for the cleaners and the kids coming home from school for example. If you're using the ring alarm app, once the lock is connected it synced the alarm codes over to the door lock. If there are users setup it syncs which is very cool. Saves programming and matches the alarm so there aren't two numbers to remember. I assume as you add new users it syncs to the door. I also swear the door auto-locked at one point which I'm not sure yet how I feel about that. I read somewhere it is a feature and you can disable that if I'm not crazy and it actually did auto-lock. I opened the lock and watched it like a toaster and it never auto locked again. One of the kids I haven't yet given a door code / alarm code he's too little. Only scenario I can think of is if he went outside, it auto locks he has no abilty to get back in. He's not exactly running around by himself but it could present an issue if he locks himself out. I will figure out how to disable if it really works that way or just deal with it. Something to note, once it was installed it wasn't obvious to me at least how to lock the door from the outside. I upgraded from a weiser electronic keypad that had the plastic buttons and a LOCK button. So I thought you had to key the code in to lock and unlock. Instructions didn't say otherwise least I couldn't find it. Upgrading from weiser where there was an easy one button lock function this was going to suck if we had to punch a keycode felt like a let down. I googled it and found an install video where a guy hit the schalge logo to LOCK. JACKPOT locks one button logo on the keypad. Install wasn't too bad but I did have a bit of a moment where I thought it wasn't going to work. The deadlatch (I think it's called) the part that goes into the door had the plate which rests on the side of the door and the deadbolt comes out of. I couldn't see any obvious way to remove it without prying it off and my doors all have the cylinder hole not the plate with screws. So I broke down and read the instructions no mention. I saw the QR code and watched the install video and it showed how to remove it (by prying a screwdriver into it) and put the cylider cap piece on. After rummaging through the parts plastic bag I could see it. So It wasn't totally obvious, one mention in the paper instructions could have saved me grief and I could see someone giving up and returning if they didn't take the time. One final note, the inside door latch is up when unlocked, and left to right when closed. It drives me CRAZY that our newer house with Weiser locks it's the opposite way. I'm used to the common sense of plumbing or gas if the handle is across the pipe it's shut off. I've not been able to figure out how to convert existing weiser locks to the same orientation so I might move to schalge. Maybe they have a patent or something its just a small thing that I prefer and bothers me. Overall happy with the upgrade, the quality, the install. Got some bonus features mentioned above that hadn't completely realized and was a win. I wish I could rekey the lock easy like the weiser locks do, but I've never carried a key to my house since these were installed so it might not really matter.

Beware - doesn't work in Australia
I don't believe the z-wave radio on this device is tuned to Australian frequencies. I was not able to pair to home assistant at all, under any conditions. All manuals are USA/CAN, so I'd be very surprised if it was an Australian z-wave radio. Shame!
