MINKA-AIRE F307-MBK Anywhere 16 Inch 3 Blade Indoor/Outdoor Wall Mount Ceiling Fan in Matte Black Finish

Well built and sturdy fan. Heavy, so you may need help mounting. There is one operational problem that a buyer should be aware of. The fan has a pull chain to operate the three speeds and turn the fan on/off. The chain hangs down far enough for us to reach. The oscillating feature is operated by a knob located on top of the fan. The fan comes with a plug that most people will use with an existing wall outlet. Once power is supplied to the fan, you can use the pull down chain to turn the fan on and off and adjust the speed setting. BUT- the pull chain does not turn on/off the oscillating feature. To turn off this feature you must be able to reach the knob or unplug from the outlet. As you can see from the picture, we can't reach the knob without a ladder. Our solution was to run the electrical cable through the exterior of the "shed" wall and connect to a switched wall outlet. The fan plugs into the outlet and the switch controls all the power to the fan. This results in being able to turn the fan and oscillating feature on/off from one switch. We leave the fan in oscillating mode so when we turn on the "light" switch the fan blows and oscillates. If we want to turn off the oscillating feature, we must use the knob. To mount in this manner requires some thinking and minor carpentry and electrical skills.

Love the size and it really bolted well so it would stay positioned. Like all fans, higher the speed, louder the fan. But it’s not obnoxious. Love it

Five stars for the fan, 1 star for Amazon Warehouse. Amazon's description stated that the packaging would be slightly damaged. This is true, but obviously it was originally returned because it is missing crucial parts. It was shipped without it's mounting bracket, or any kind of a manual. Just the fan - and it's impossible to hang it without the specific bracket the backplate is designed to use. Sending it back.Otherwise, the fan is very quiet and seems to be of excellent quality.

SUPER easy to hang, installed on our outdoor patio wall and plugged in within ten minutes of unboxing. Works well, love the three speeds and oscillation.

Bought this fan based on reviews. Installed easy. Very sturdy. However, we received two different colored mount screws( one black and one brushed nickel- the two color options this fan comes in) not a big deal; but what was disappointed is that the oscillating feature quite working within hours of operating. Super disappointed.

The media could not be loaded.  These are not good fans. Others wrote oscillating feature gave out quick and you. Ha see in video how it jumps. The fan does not move air. It is far from with the price. DON’T BUY! I returned both I purchased.

What is the measurement from top of fan cage to bottom of mount? Your answer was 16.15". I'm not sure that math works. The blade diameter is 16" alone. The picture shown displays the mount at least another 4-8 inches below the bottom of the fan cage. What is the actual distance between top of fan cage and bottom of the mount?
