I felt compelled to write a review for this heating pad because I was genuinely surprised by how well it works. When I first opened the box, I was a little disappointed and almost returned it without even trying it because it looked somewhat cheap. However, I was dealing with a sore back and decided to give it a chance. I’m glad I did. This is the first heating pad I’ve owned where I actually had to turn the heat setting down because the highest setting was too hot. It provides excellent heat and relief, especially for back pain. For the price, this heating pad performs far better than I expected. It’s a great product at a very affordable price.

Using for newborn puppies under a light blanket. Love that its reliable and stays on. Smaller size allows them to scoot to cooler spot if they need to.

Heat settings are great. The heat output is great. It heats up fast. It’s soft and flexible.

This is my 4th one in 20 years and the only reason I had to buy the last two is because my bunny chewed the power cord. Pros: Affordable moist and dry heat Covers me from neck to lower back (I'm 5 ft 3, 90 pounds and this is a perfect size) washable cover flexible - can wrap around arm or leg, or use it flat. Cons: No auto shut-off the cord twists after a while and then tears away from the pad. Connection point is a poor design. and the reason for needing to purchase new pads 2 of the 4 times.

I was in the market and looking to spend under $20 for a heating pad to replace my previous one which had to have been better than 20 years old -- and the Jarden fit the bill. Quite honestly, I don't know anything about heating pads other than the obvious fact that they heat up and provide welcome relief to aching or sprained muscles, but the reviews which I read on some of the cheaper heating pads were quite helpful in assuring me that they were not what I was looking for or would perform to my satisfaction. My Jarden arrived several days after placing my order, and the very next day it was put to good use and the test for a back sprain which I had unexplainably received. It performed superbly for me. The Jarden heats up to the temperature setting you select (which for me was High) rather quickly -- I would say about 3-4 minutes, which was about how long it took for my old heating pad to heat up. The "High" setting gets quite warm, but I could feel the Jarden regulate the temperature so as not to get super hot to burn or redden the skin, which my old heating pad would often do to my skin. In my opinion, the Jarden provides a nice soothing and relieving heat. For my own personal preference I unbuttoned the blue cloth cover and removed the thin styrofoam-like sheet inside for a more direct heat. I do not have arthritis, but I can see where the raised sliding control button would be beneficial to those with arthritic hands or fingers as the product description states. The 12X15 size, which is actually almost 2 inches bigger in both directions than my old heating pad, heats up uniformly throughout and provides good coverage. It also has a long power cord which is also a nice feature. Of course, I cannot promise or say if the Jarden heating pad will survive or outlast my last heating pad, but with a price tag of under 20 bucks it is worth every penny for those times when you need some soothing comfort and relief for those sore, aching, or sprained muscles which seem to crop up unexpectedly out of nowhere! I would recommend the Jarden heating pad to anyone looking for an affordable heating pad -- and that gets the job done!

I love these. I would love them slightly more if they weren’t a relatively in flexible plastic covered by a cheap fabric covering. However, these UL listed, so they’re unlikely to burn through my couch cushion like a different product I bought. Also, I use them on my hands and feet overnight, and the slide mechanism and lack of auto shut off means I’m not clicking buttons in the middle of the night and awakening my spouse. And, they’re nice and hot!

I just received this purchased at Amazon, paid $[...] w/free shipping if you purchase $25 in "Amazon items". So, I purchased ......a lb of Davidson's Loose tea (chamomile .. ck out their teas and they have a ton on their website davidsonstea.com, only a couple dozen on here at most .. you can get a stainless tea ball for a buck at walmart or one under 1.50 on here, had to look though, some are a lot higher in price on here. I also called them to see if they had 1 or to 2 sampler variety packs of their most popular teas, I dont like to experiment with a lb of tea each, they said theyd bring that up as a suggestion.) .. just passing the word. Im not sure why some have said this doesnt get hot enough even on high, if it were any hotter, it would burn me and Im using it on top of clothing. I really dont like the cheapo 1 snap cover that unsnaps to easy .. Im sure they can do a lot better than bla light blue cheapo material as well. I cant say anything about long term durability until I get there, and will report if it fails within a yr or two. Also mentioned was the controls do not get hot like the newer types, and it doesnt have auto cut off like the newer ones do. I think they should have an option to turn off automatically or leave it on. That way theyd be dealing with any liability issues which I think is there motivation for having auto shut off in the first place. Which is almost as much as the smaller heating pad costs. Oh, Love the size, the standard ones are just too small. What ever you do .. DONT buy Heat Soft brand, Mine did not work, except the controller did get hot .. and they make you mail it back to them with you paying postage .. and it is so much thicker making it much more difficult to bend. I think companies should either pay postage or mail another or have service centers to check and validate they are not working on DEFECTIVE Anything!! Something !! I have not tested the moisture heat feature, which is nothing more than a thin absorbant foam looking pad insert on one side.

Works well, but miss the old school sunbeam from many years ago. The fabric covering doesn’t hold up , is very thin. They may be same company but quality has gone downhill.

I bought this for when my back pain kicks in, and I can tell you this really helps. It's a nice and long heating pad, and the three settings of heat differ enough that the hottest setting is barely needed for me. I use it often, and I haven't found any splitting in the plastic covering since I've gotten it and used it. I also really like that it has a shut off at 2 hours after turning it on. It claims that it's waterproof on the packaging but I haven't tried that yet and probably won't, but the fact the cover for it is very durable makes me believe it most likely is.

I had a very disappointing experience with warranty support for a product purchased from Amazon. My warranty claim was not accepted, which caused a lot of inconvenience. I recommend checking warranty terms and seller details carefully before buying. Based on my experience, please be cautious before purchasing this product.

Turned this heating pad on and it burned through the material!! Good thing we smelled it otherwise it could have burnt my skin or even worse created a fire!!!
