Buy The Carry-On Traveller: The Ultimate Guide to Packing Light: Read Kindle Store Reviews - desertcart.com Review: Thorough and inspiring! - I recently traveled to Egypt for two weeks, my first trip of that length in many years and my first such trip overseas. I started out with three bags (two carry-on and one checked) and by the time I came home had expanded to two checked and two carry-on bags. After seven hotels, eight airports, and a river cruise, I decided NEVER AGAIN. Since then, I have been on a quest to accumulate great tips for traveling carry-on only, and this book, although written in 2016, was FULL of great tips and products that were still available and relevant. I found a lot of inspiration and advice for my next trip (Switzerland for a week) and I plan to have a very different luggage experience. I will never be a backpacker, but this book spoke to all ranges of experience and travel style. I also enjoyed the section toward the end where other travelers were interviewed for their tips, tricks, and lessons learned. Great book to add to my collection. I borrowed it via Kindle Unlimited, but purchased it so I will have immediate access to it going forward. I also already checked out the author's website and will be a frequent visitor there, as well. Review: Great book, lots of great information. - This book is very helpful and an easy read. I originally ordered a different book, but sent it back because I did not care for it. This book gives very practical good information that even someone like me who just wants to pack less can use. I like the recommendations for different types of luggage. The author has traveled extensively and has a lot of experience and even consulted other travelers. Love the tips from these other travelers as well. Great book!

Great Advice if You Want to Decrease Weight and Increase ...
Great Advice if You Want to Decrease Weight and Increase Pleasure of a Trip I'm a single bag guy, so this book was nothing new to me, but did offer some great ideas which I did not think of. More importantly, its not just one person's point of view, as the author interviews a dozen fellow single bag travelers to get their point of view relative to what to pack and what to leave behind. These are real people, not a cult, so I found it interesting to read what some people thought was essential and worth packing and what others left at home, and there is no perfect consensus. I enjoyed the different opinions. And when I laid out everything to pack for a long trip I'd look at an item critically and question how many times have I actually used that giant Swiss Army Knife? Answer--none, not once in 20 trips. OK, I'll leave that at home. So the author made me question my own packing skills. Also appreciative were the reviews on gear. This is a quick read, and inexpensive book and if you are a traveler, you will love it.

Very in-depth with great tips for beginners to seasoned travelers
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I’ve always been a traveler, but I’ve never tried to be a carry-on traveler. But now that I’m getting older I’m tired of lugging around too much crap when I travel. And I’ve always said “I brought it and I never used it or wore it.“ I was surprised at how many tips I got out of this book. If you’ve seen their travel blog it has good tips too, but this just goes deeper. When you’re trying to remove as much clutter from your travel as possible tiny tips make a big difference. For me, one revelation was the use of shaving oil for men instead of clunky shaving cream cans. Who knew? I’ve been shaving for too many years and had never heard of it. (Really close shaves!). But that’s just one of the many things I got out of that book, including great luggage tips (i’m always looking for the perfect travel bags, and again they brought me to resources I did not know about before.). I’ve got a two week trip to Italy coming up in a couple of months and I can’t wait to put this all to use and do it with one carry-on and one personal item that will conform to the airlines I’m traveling on. Highly recommend this book for all travelers.

This book has all you need to know about being a carry on traveler.
This book is a wonderful resource for those you who are interested in lightening their load when they travel. It is full of practical information about luggage, packing, what to bring, what to leave behind, money, safety, specific products, and recommendations by the writer and other seasoned travelers. There is also a ton of anecdotal information about dealing with some of the issues we can encounter when traveling. I just returned from a two week trip to Mexico, and following Erin McNeany's advice, used a carry on bag only. It was such a pleasure to not drag around a big bag and wait for luggage. This is a great book Well organized and well written and full of valuable information.

Having followed their blog for a few years, when the time came for us to start travelling this was the first (and only so far) book I bought for advice. Most people we talk to can't believe that we are travelling with a single 30 litre pack weighing less than 7 kg including computers.Way easier to travel with a single light pack instead of suitcases or heavy bags. And far faster to check in online and walk straight through to customs without having to queue at the airline counter! Highly recommended book.

I will be leaving the UK next year, to live and work somewhere (no real idea where, yet, although the idea of somewhere with a wee bit more sun appeals, as the nights lengthen here in the north of Scotland). Since I will be living the life of a digital nomad I know that there is only a limited amount of “stuff” I can take with me. I have been a fan of NeverEndingVoyage for some time now. It offers no nonsense advice, along with wonderful production values — so I knew that this book would follow suit. And I was not disappointed. The idea of heading off on adventures with no fixed end date, with just what you can carry, is bad enough in many people’s opinions — so to think of doing so with simply a carry-on bag further compounds this fear. Erin does a marvellous job of explaining every step of the process, the reasons behind certain choices, with alternatives and a plethora of links and information — she does not preach here, instead merely showing a potential path. For me, this is exactly what I needed. The section with interviews with other carry-on travellers is also fascinating, as it demonstrates that this way to travel is not for only one certain narrowly defined group. Whether I decide to go carry-on only has yet to be decided, as I wish to spend long periods of time out in wilder places, where more rugged bushcraft tools and equipment will be essential. But what this book has done is help me streamline my thinking and has shown me new ways to do things that I know will be invaluable in the coming years. If you are thinking of getting this book — whether for your next trip, or for someone you know will soon be going away, I would not hesitate to say buy it. Well written, informative and exactly what is needed.
