Smell of matt is so bad i have to place outside of apartment. it smells like it’s emitting toxic gases. what chemicals or gases are used in the mat?

I have had this mat for over a year and have not noticed any smells. Maybe when it was first taken out of the box. But I haven’t really noticed anything. It’s probably coated nylon to make it waterproof and sweat proof and to give it some puncture resistance. Mine is fine but maybe they have changed materials since I purchased mine.

Can this actually be folded perfectly, for travel, like the picture shows? Or can it only be folded in half?

Yes, just like the picture. You end up with one thick mat with handles. It would be very good for travel.

Is there velcro along the long sides so two mats can be connected side by side (to make 8 x 8)?

This does have velcro to be connected to other mats.

I got the wrong size! i ordered a 4x8 but got a 6x2! but the box is gone. what do i do? i was gonna order another one until i realized this..
