Hickory Smoked Dried Torula Yeast Seasoning (24 ounce)

This stuff makes the BEST beans. Something about the flavor it adds is incredible. Great size bag for the money. Fresh and great taste.

This stuff is amazing! I add it to my homemade vegan cheese sauce, and also my tofu scramble seasoning. Actually I should use it on more stuff, now that I think on it. A little goes a long way, and it adds just an extra bit of yum to many dishes. Add a little more and it's bolder. It's smokey in scent and flavor, but not overly smokey, reminiscent of a hint of bacon flavor, or a smoked gouda. (Hmmm, I wonder what it would be like on popcorn? I might just try that tonight, blended with some nutritional yeast).

So delicious on all kinds of things but we especially love it on baked tofu and cooked green beans. There’s nothing that can replace it; it has a subtle smoke flavor. I honestly prefer it to bacon.

So this is the only torula yeast I can find. It's got a mild smoky flavor which is not strong enough to turn everything into BBQ and is yummy. I made a low-sodium chicken casserole and it added good flavor. I did notice the texture in the dish but that may be because I used quite a bit. I'm still looking for an unflavored torula yeast but this is a great alternative.

Love this product for a meaty/bacony flavor. Use because of allergies to other seasonings.

We used to sprinkle this on biscuits and gravy when I was a child. So glad to find it again, it has the same flavour I remember. So good!

This is so yummy, but super expensive, and a little does not seem to go a long way.

I add it to a recipe after I taste it and it is not quite complete.It needs something....I add this and voila, perfect.
