This Detroit Axle brake kit for my 07-17 Jeep Wrangler was exactly what I needed to boost stopping power and safety. Ordered this kit for my wife's daily driver Grand Cherokee. At 105k miles it finally needed new brakes. Tore everything down, cleaned and painted the brackets and calipers to make it look good, installed the new rotors and pads without a problem. It took a few hundred miles for these to fully bed in, the pictures with the wheels on are only after about 10 miles and a few heat cycles to start the process. You can see the pads are not fully sweeping the rotor face yet. They are now fully seated with full contact across the rotor surface, and it can stop on a dime and make change. No problems with any noise or squealing like some have reported. Great kit so far, don't know if they will go another 100k like the originals, but I'm happy with the price, look and performance at this point.

Bought these 4 years ago still running good time for new ones but lasted 4 to 5 years just rotors not pads ruffly 2 years on pads I drive alot but good quality and affordable

Rotors are great and good quality. Rear pads did not squeak. The front pads squeaked/squealed even with new shims and disc brake quiet on all contact points. It was determined the issue is with quality control and specs of the backing plates of the pads. The tab of the backing plate that rests and comes in contact with the shims in the mounting bracket are too wide by a couple thousandths. This causes one side of the pad to grip harder and make contact with the rotor. This minor imperfection is the root of the infamous squeal. If you lightly sand or file the end that is too tight the squeak disappears. Hope this helps others. Great price though for this kit. The squeal at a certain brake pressure is very annoying and dissatisfying.
