Takes the edge off
LONGEVITY: if applied correctly you will have a good 3-4 session. TIPS: 1.take hot shower 2.apply cream a little at a time rubbing into skin and repeat 3.once all cream is applied wrap area in saran wrap tight 4.let cream sit for at least an hour and a half to two hours. WARNING: this will not fully take the pain away, but it will make getting tattoo allot more barrable. Also keep in mind some people may have an allergic reaction to lidocaine so test a small spot on your body if it's your first time to see if there is any reaction. CUSTOMER: used on ribs for a four-hour session and felt great after, very minor pain during the session.

Great for pre-tattoo prep
I have muscle spasms on the regular, and using this during my tattoo sessions has really helped lower them greatly. I did a patch test as my skin is sensitive and no negative reaction. Before any tattoo I get, I put a generous layer over the designated spot, cover it with Saran Wrap, and let it absorb 3 hours prior to the appointment. Felt NOTHING when I got my sternum tattoo. It does go away after an hour or so during the session; but makes a huge difference for myself and the tattoo artist to ensure I have no random spasms, helps them apply without issue, and can make the experience much better.

It really works!
This stuff works great if you are getting a tattoo! I have bought this twice and it’s worked every time I have applied it. It really takes the edge off for the first hour or two. It got really expensive so I tried another lidocaine brand that had a lot of reviews and was cheaper, big mistake! The stuff didn’t work AT ALL i felt everything. I’m sticking with Dr Numb because it actually works!

Good Enough
The cream worked well at first — I followed the instructions exactly and it definitely numbed the area effectively. However, the effect only lasted about an hour, which wasn’t quite long enough for my session. It’s great for shorter tattoos or touch-ups, but for longer work, you might need to reapply or find something longer lasting. Still, solid product for what it is. I'll use again.

First time using numbing cream for tattoo!!
Started a sleeve for my brother that passed. I got up and applied this heavily (at 10 AM which was 1 hour before my session) and wrapped my leg with plastic wrap. Got to my appointment at 11 AM and probably didn’t get started on it until 12:30-1 after stenciling, placement of stencils, etc. we just did the outline and it took 3 hours. I was numb pretty much the entire time toward the end I was feeling it but it was subtle and again this was just the outline.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Product DID NOT work well.
So I purchased this product because of the large amount of reviews that gave it 5 stars. I am perplexed as to how this product was rated more than 1 star by anyone. It DOES NOT WORK WELL. I purchased the product to assist in making getting my first tattoo close to pain free. For my first tat, it’s a large one. Despite putting the product on and using the saran wrap and waiting 50 minutes, then also reapplying it a second time for 40 minutes to ensure that it would take. When the artist began the tattoo, I felt the pressure of the needle and the vibrations but not much pain. But I thought that must be normal so I didn’t think anything of it. However, after about 20 minutes, the product wore off and I began to feel the needle and the puncturing of my skin. The pain level was about a 6 out of 10 for most of the tattoo. It was about 7 for the part of the tattoo that extends to the middle of my back. So, the pain was mostly moderate. However, this product is supposed to numb you for 4 hours according to the box. Complete lie. It somewhat numbs (not fully) you for about 20-25 minutes and then you are going to feel the needle. Overall, the product’s performance was substandard. A better numbing cream is tattoo Numbing cream co and it’s cheaper in price. Dr. Numb failed to provide the protection against pain that it was supposed to.

Turn to other brands because the price
The packaging is great, and it seems like this is the only one in the market with a 4.5-star rating, so I decided to give it a try even though it's much pricier. Honestly, the results are just okay. I don't really notice much difference compared to other brands with lidocaine as the main ingredient. I think the ratio of lidocaine is probably the same across the board, so I’d give it 4 stars. But considering the higher price, I’d rate it 3 stars instead. Thanks!

Great for tattoos
Love this stuff. Used one tube of it for a 6 hour tattoo on my sternum and then another tube on a 9 hour tattoo on my back and didn’t feel a thing. My tattoo artist said it was the best numbing cream she’s worked on as it didn’t make my skin red or puffy or react with the ink weirdly.

I used this because I almost fainted from the pain caused by microneedling. Yes I'm very sensitive to physical pain. I used this as a thick layer on the face and neck. Left it on for 50mins and did an amazing job. Will buy again.

Although on the expensive side it works better than other brands I’ve tried. I’d rather pay more than feel pain tbh😂

Had my tattoo and applied it as per instruction and as per reviews but just reduced like 10-20% and after like 1 hour, no effect anymore.
