Works Absolutely Great!!!
Absolutely Great! I have purchased this product 2 times back in October 10 and October 16 of 2025. This will be my 3rd time purchasing this product but not for myself but for my son in law’s shower. I absolutely love this product and I will give it a 5 Star and surely recommend to anyone because of its quality and its weight and safety and definitely ease of its installation and it looks perfectly matched with the shower design. I have used it since October 2025 and it has not caused me any problems the moment it was placed on. The suction is great. Thank you Safer-er-Grip and H K Supply for this Great Product. I surely would recommend it to anyone. I have used it since October 2025 and it has not caused me any problems no issues so far the amount of time that I’ve had it. Satisfied customer. 1/13/2026 Thank You, Catherine C

Good Quality at a Good Price
Arrived quickly and securely boxed. Product container first class. Safe Grip was of good quality, as good as or better than any other brands that I have purchased. Adhered well to plastic surface of shower. High marks for easy installation, stickiness at first installation. Seems stable and sturdy enough initially. The usual warning on these types of sticky grips is that they are for balance purposes only, not for weight support. Having said that, I would buy this item again realizing the caveat and only for the balance purpose. All of these sticky grips tend to lose suction over time, and for safety it is important to check adhesion regularly, and before taking a shower. Will report any issues after using this item for an extended period of time (months) and compare to other grips that I purchased and used for some time. Also consider the excellent price for this item making it a good value compared to most others.

For steadying a person
It works. Just what I needed to balance with. Sticker, however, advises that it's just for steadying a person. It isn't meant to bear the full weight of an individual. It also advises not to try attaching it to the cross sections of the tile where the caulking is. It can't get a grip. So, the tile must be wider than 4" for the suction cup to grab.

Good for grabbing for stability.
Easy to stick on and it sticks very well to flat surfaces. It's great as a bar to hold on to for stability, but not good for seniors to use to pull themselves up. Be careful of that.

best suction grip
Like several other elderly aid gizmos I purchased recently, I had low expectations for this product. Every time I tried to use a suction device in the shower, it fell off after a few days. In the middle of the night you'd hear a loud clunk and rattle, then find the suction cup and whatever it was supposed to be holding lying in the tub. But I desperately needed something for my parents' shower and the little grip my brother-in-law screwed into the tile by the tub was simply inadequate (measured about the same width as your pinky to thumb, if you stretch them out "Texas hook 'em horns" style). This grip, however, is nice and large and made of grippable rubber AND the suction cups work like a charm. As a rule, with suction cups, it's easy on, easy off. Most suction cups go on really easy and that's the problem -- they fall right off. This one takes a bit of pressure to secure (you pull the green tabs up on one end, like a soda can, then press the suction cups against the tile wall and press the green tabs back in place). I had to show my 87 year old mom how to do it and she struggled a bit, but got it. However, once on, it stayed solid. NOTE: if you are using this for the elderly, warn them that they should ALWAYS check any suction device before trusting it to hold their weight. It's easy to do, just grab the handle and jiggle it. If it feels solid, it's good to go. If it eventually comes off, it will need to be re-applied (which is why I showed mom how to do it). In short, she loves it and asked me to buy her another for the other side of the shower. Men, who tend to have greater hand grip strength would have no problem at all. Update 11-12. Approx one month after we put it in place, it is still holding strong. I noticed some other reviewers said that theirs did not. My guess is that they are trying to apply the cup over a line of grout. Do not do this, it will not hold. It must rest 90% on tile. If you have very small tiles, it probably won't work. We have 4" and it works fine.

Great grip & hold - excellent suction
Excellent product. Excellent suction and hold making it safe to grip. Definitely recommend. It’s very clear some people on here don’t know what they’re doing when attaching to shower wall. One guy said it fell off wall after a month. Well duh lol….you have to dbl check that it’s holding tight before getting in shower each time and resnap the clamps if not.

Over Two Years and This Bar Has Held Well
Update no 3 on 2/10/2025: This bar lasted far longer than I anticipated based on experience with other suction type grab bars. It remained firm for more than two years in a fiberglass shower surround until I removed it when I moved in late 2024. It only fell off the wall 4 times during the entire period it was installed. I kept the bar and have it in storage while I am temporarily staying with family before making a more permanent move soon. Even though I originally purchased it for my late husband who needed something for balance, I found it helpful on occasion as well. Update no. 2 on 5/16/2024: I'm very pleased with the durability of this bar. I've now had it in our shower for 18 months (as of next week), and I can count only 4 times that it has fallen off the wall. Three of those occasions were after I had cleaned the shower surround and, I think, I'd not replaced it firmly. The last time was because I needed to clean the shower surround (my bad). The springs, as far as I can tell, are holding up well and help to maintain a good suction. The last bar purchased for my loved one was from a different manufacturer and had only lasted about a year; it was not maintaining strong suction and falling off the wall multiple times a week. This bar, by comparison, has outperformed our experience with other suction bars we have purchased to date. Update 10/24/2023: We've had this suction grab bar for nearly a year. I think it has fallen a maximum of maybe 3 times, but those happened AFTER I had cleaned the shower surround and I think I did not firmly reattach the bar in those instances. The springs have held up well. The bar helped make showering so much easier for my loved one with neuropathy. I've even found it handy for myself when dealing with mild vertigo for a short spell. One additional benefit I've observed after a year of use is that the smaller diameter of the grip portion of the bar is well-suited for those of us with smaller hands/shorter fingers than some of the other grip bars. For balance, this has been a solidly helpful aid. I bought this to replace the Carex suction grab bar my family member had been using for about a year; the springs were no longer functioning properly and the bar kept popping off the shower surround wall even after cleaning and using alcohol wipes). I wanted something that would be relatively secure with good sturdy springs, as my family member has balance issues due to neuropathy in his feet and legs, and has trouble with his balance. Also, my family member was coming home after an extended time in the hospital and a skilled nursing facility for physical rehabilitation, and I was concerned that he might even try to use the bar to help get up and down from the shower chair. I'm happy to say that, so far, this grab bar has served my family member's needs well, had held secure and has not loosened or popped off once in the entire time we've had it. I do check it regularly and have been impressed with its hold. The diameter of the bar is a bit smaller than the ones we've previously used, which actually makes it easier to grasp and hold. My family member has remarked several times how much he likes the 16-inch length (longer than prior bars we've used) and the bar's strong hold. As we are unable to install permanent safety rails in the studs because we rent, the Safe-er-Grip Bar has served as a solid alternative.

Good in the correct context
I am an occupational therapist who does home health with geriatric patients. I am constantly searching for certain adaptive equipment to make my patients' bathrooms safer. As unfortunate as it is, many people are unwilling to give up aesthetics for safety! That means they won't install real grab bars into their tiled showers because it will mess up their tile. That's where this product comes in handy. I looked at several different brands before purchasing this one for my patients. I have since tried it on many different surfaces and it works with varying results depending on where you position it. I've tried it on walls - it sticks...for about 1/2 hour. Don't do it. You'll end up hurting yourself! Even if your wall isn't textured it will come off. If you're using it as a handle on the edge of your bathtub to get in/out, it'll work great! That sucker will not come off no matter how hard you tug on it. Plus, it's not high enough to catch your legs when you're trying to get your legs over the edge (thinking more of geriatric patients who have hip and knee range of motion problems). In the actual shower area, your results again are varied. Your best bet is a shower that has a smooth surface, like laminate or faux tile. However, I've had fairly good results with tiled showers too. Just make sure that at least one of the suction cups is exclusively over a tiled area and not a grout area. Sometimes the grout lines don't provide the surface area that the cup needs to get a tight suction. So the long and short of it is make sure you are putting this on a surface that can get a good seal. Let the grab bar sit un-used for about 4-5 hours. If it would fall off, it will on its own during this time. After that, if it's still on, you're probably good to go. But I'd tug on it a few times to make sure. The first time I bought it, I did a few test runs on surfaces in my own home. I decided that I'd hold onto the box and all packaging and not hesitate to return it if it didn't work out. So far I've placed 4 of them in patients' homes and that says a lot because I'm the one on the line if they don't work out. Update 3/13: Fast forward a few years...I was making this recommendation to a few patients back then but only with the advice that people use it for stability only. I am now withholding even that advice. I've had a lot more experience with them now and even the brands that I was "recommending" at the time are now off my list. They can not be fully trusted and it is better to be safe than sorry, to be cliche. I hate to go back on what I said but I've seen personally even a few weeks later of a good tight seal, coming off in a person's hands. This is not good. If you live in a rental and your manager won't let you install real bars, then you may not have any other option but I would tug and check these bars daily and especially before you intend to hold it. Even in these circumstances, there are tension bars and tub clamps that may give more stability than suction cup grabbars. That's my new take.

Good efficient piece of kit.
This works excellently. Doesn't look too intrusive either. Seems very strong and is a great help getting down the step out of our shower.
