LimbSaver AirTech Precision-Fit Recoil Pad for Wood Stocks

I was skeptical about the claims that "up to 70%" of "felt recoil" would be reduced by using the LimbSaver. My Marlin 444 generates about 2800 ft-lbs of energy at the muzzle and it can offer quite a sharp jolt at the other end as well. But the original recoil pad was worn out and so I took a chance on this recoil pad. Amazing! Remarkable! Wonderful! I can't say what the percentage of reduction in recoil was, but it was substantial and it was comfortable and it was much appreciated. The LimbSaver is a perfect fit to the rifle and it was easy to install. I am absolutely delighted with this product and enthusiastically recommend it to others who want to reduce the felt recoil of their rifles. It is well worth the modest price.

I tell you what this turned my .300 Short Mag into a pleasurable gun to shoot over n over n over again. I’d say it took about 50% recoil off my shoulder, not quite the 70% maximum but when you’re shooting a cannon any kinda reduction is big. The gun has a wood stock so it doesn’t kick as hard as a synthetic stock but still had thump too it before putting it on my Browning A bolt 2! Also the fitment is spot on no overhang or deficiencies lining up to the wood.

This pad worked great on my Benelli Super Vinci synthetic stock using the plate adapter supplied! My Benelli already was great at reducing kick, but let me tell you... it was a pure joy shooting a 3.5 inch turkey load today! I was so different I decided to waste five more dollars and shoot another round to see if it just seemed less because of adrenaline! NO!!! The turkey load felt like a dove load! When I can, I will replace my other pads on various shotguns! AMAZING!

I bought this for CZ 712 g2 (by Huglu). Firstly, took the buttstock pad off - it's made by a plastic plate with an attached (modlded) rubber pad. Carefully pulled off the rubber pad - it has three segments of two molds which can either be cut or slowly pulled out of the holes in the plastic plate they were molded into. Once the plastic plate was "free" it matches with the Limbsaver pad perfectly - used a clamp to secure the two then marked where the Limbsaver holes matched onto the plastic plate and drilled it using 1/16 bit. Used small long screws with washers to create pilot screw holes, and high viscocity cement glue for binding. This method allows for the fairly easy removal of the limbsaver and replacement. The whole setup looks outstanding and is made by OEM. Pretty stoked with how it turned out and the recoils mitigated even when using very stout slug loads. Secondly, this is an almost perfect figment for a Stevens 301 single shot shotgun (Sun city). Or equivalent Charles Daly. The AirTech is just a bit wider and a bit shorter than h OEM, but works with OEM stock holes and screws of the Stevens 301

I have these on all my center fire rifles. They are much better than most factory pieces. This wasn’t the exact fit ( very close), I wanted, however, after trying different ones and using exact stock measurements. It’s the closest one I’ve found. I have a very old 336, without grinding, there may be no “ exact fit “. It improved quick placement of the gun to my shoulder, and makes practice shooting more comfortable and fun.

Great fit and as usual a great recoil pad. Easy install and will surely help the recoil as it does with the ones I put on my other guns

Doesn't reduce recoil as well as it claims although it does help. Screw holes did not line up but I elongated the holes with a Dremel and it works

Needed to replace the petrified stock recoil pad on my old Mossberg 835 turkey gun. The unique 3" hole spacing of the synthetic stock meant I couldn't use the normal grind-to-fit pads, as they're all a 3.125" hole spacing. The only pads I could find were pre-fit, and I haven't had the best experience with them fitting in the past. I decided to give it another go, and the results were amazing! I can't say every shotgun will be like mine, but for my 835, the fit was perfect! Holes lined up correctly, and the pad size was as though it was designed by the factory. Using the supplied screws, it took only a minute to install, and you have a little "wiggle" room to adjust the fit to be even on all sides. Tightened everything down, and job done. I won't comment as far as recoil reduction goes, as that's subjective to everyone. I will say it's better than the rock-hard pad that was on there, though that is true of pretty much any new pad. I highly recommend!

These are a must for shooters, I put one on my Tikka T3X and it fits like a glove, This can lower recoil up to 70%, If you shoot any composite stocks you know , They all have a goo
