I could not get this thing to work without making a mess.
The roll is so lightweight that it does not turn properly when pushed against the wall. I tried over and over to get it right, but it would not cooperate.

I got this unit for a friend but not as good as the older design...butexcellent deal for the price.

Poor design, poor quality. Not worth trying
Don't bother buying this. It will end up in the garbage.- The roller does not touch the wall when you try to use it at the angle in which it was intended to use it. You have to push the guard into an "off" angle to get the roller to make contact. It really should use the standard size 3" rollers, not the thin ones.- The switch that moves the guard up and down is defective on mine- out of alingnment. I had to geri-rig it to get it to catch in the lock when in the engaged position.- The guard gets paint all over it because the paint on the end of the roller gets on it and ultimately migrates down to the edge that touches the wall and runs out the other side, ruining the clean edge. There's really no way to avoid that.It simply does not work. The design is flawed and there is no way around it.The pad type edgers work a little better and are simple to use, but ultimately it's best just to practice cutting in with a nice angled brush. It's fastest and not that hard if you have a steady hand. Otherwise, use painters tape.
