I just received this Battery. My battery charger charged it!
The Hobie connector is my sole reason for ordering this battery. I is unproven to do any more than charge at this time.

Don't always last
I have bought (3) of these as they have the correct connection for my Hobbie and Yak-Power system. The first one I had hooked up to my complete system through the yak power. Turned on the lights... everything worked. Tested the fish finder.... it worked. Forgot to unplug the battery (even though nothing was running) and when I came back a week later it was dead (no surprise there). Hooked it up to the charger... and it never charged. It got really hot... but it never charged. Ended up using the other (2) as a direct connection to the fish finder (Lowrance HDS 7). Unfortunately they only last about 4-6 hrs and I have to switch them in the middle of the day to keep running the Lowarance. So far (6 months and a dozen or so trips) that has worked.

Good light weight battery.
My last Hobie battery died after three years, but that was due to a faulty charger. They are s bit expensive but the light weight makes it worthwhile.

The cables corrode near the terminal and you cannot replace them unfortunately.

Lasted about 5 charges. I didn’t use it often, but I expected it to last longer than a year.
