Great knife just cheap sheath.
The knife is made of good materials, and is well balanced. I have no issues with the knife, just cheap sheath. The knife actually poked through the end asap, but was easy to fix and the strap was same way. Did not care much of the quality of the sheath so this was never a problem. The Knife on the other hand is great for clean tall brush and small shrubs. It is even better for my urban travels when someone thinks pulling a small knife is a good idea. This is a perfect attitude adjuster and quit intimidating. I think you would be satisfied with it as long as your not trying to cut down trees.

GOOD FOR BACKPACKING OR BACKWOODS CAMPING
I do a lot of backpacking where I hike in several miles and camp. When you do that weight is extremely important. You have to reduce your load as much as possible to cover a lot of ground. For that purpose, this machete is great. It's a super lightweight (~ 14.5 ounce) cutting tool that works extremely well for gathering wood, clearing a path, and possible self-defense. Through trial and error, it has beaten out much more expensive options, largely because it is just so light weight and versatile. I've learned a great deal about knife design, types of steel, methods for hardening, etc. So don't get me wrong, this is NOT a top of the line item. I would love to have the quality and reliability of 1095 chro-van steel like a Ka-Bar Becker or ESEE knife. But similar items by other companies are twice the weight and don't have the bowie-style sharp tip for self-defense (plus are 4x the price). PROS: - Light (14.5 ounces) weighed on accurate scale - Durable enough for hard use - Cheap CONS: - Questionable steel quality. - Handle sucks (after a couple hours use, I had to wrap it in a bandana to continue using it. Expect to mack a handle out of tape, tennis racquet grip, etc.) - Sheath sucks. After a few days the tip started poking out of the bottom. I fixed this by folding a small piece of leather and sticking it inside the sheath at the bottom. Expect to reinforce the bottom if you are really going to use this thing.

Awesome value!!!!
I bought the Tomahawk Ninja machete for quick brush cleanup, hiking, hunting, camping etc. The machete seems pretty rugged with a heavy blade and a pretty good edge, good length too. The sheath is better then what I looked at in Walmart machetes. Its a great length for carrying on my side or over the shoulder although a little tight for me, I'm 6' with a 52" chest. The rope handle has a little to be desired however for the price you can easily get a peace of rawhide or better rope and customize the handle to your liking; that is what intrigued me with this specific machete. I disliked the cheap plastic handles that come with Walmart machetes. I am very pleased with this purchase. As for quality I will know better once I have used this for a while how well it holds up.

tomahawk machete
Nice quality, reasonable price. Well balanced. Thicker blade than most. Good lines. I bought it to use the blade in a pole arm (Naginata) as the cord wrapped handle makes for an easy conversion. I may buy another one to use as is. I recommend this model to anyone who likes a nice lite weight nice handling chopper.

Fun, but lacking a bit
The blade is good, but the rope handle needs work. They need to do something that keeps the rope in place as you use the machete. After a few minutes of use, the rope becomes loose and then the machete becomes more difficult to use. Of course, you can quickly fix the problem and move on, but it is a constant battle. The blade, however, is good and for its price, this is a decent buy.

Name alone warrants five stars
This item, while it was a gift to someone else, turned out to be the most interesting item at Christmas and a regret to give away. The name alone grants it five stars, but the blade design and extremely light weight really help keep it there. The blade is so light that it feels like you have a bowie knife in your hand, a blade that would be 4-6 inches shorter. The design is very ninja-esque which makes it comedic, yet still functional in some ways. I believe that the blade came a little too sharp for typical machete work too. The handle is where the weight reduction takes place, and the handle isn't suitable for any type of long term cutting as it would shock your hand while cutting thick objects and blister it up cutting easy items. The owner taped it up with duct tape to fit their hand. The sheath looked nice, but the shoulder loop on it quickly broke off and was re-sewn on.

medium sized machete
I bought this just to have something cool to use for everyday work and for use in the forest. it works great due to the way its weighted, its medium sized making it lightweight, and its very sturdy because its full tang and pretty thick. I had no issues with the machete itself, the only problem I had was with the handle. I got tired of it sliding around so I just replaced it with some coyote brown paracord. it looks a lot cooler and is more comfortable.im very happy with this machete. if I were you I would get one before the price goes up again.

Very Good Machete
Machete is Sharp and easy to use. Be careful though when putting it back into the sheath it can rip through. That is how sharp it is. I made repairs to the sheath. I am a avid weapons collector and this Machete is worth the buy for starters.
