Harman Kardon Esquire Mini 2 - Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Black

Best bluetooth speaker I have used for it's size. Not the most bass but still good considering it fits in your pocket. High build quality I enjoy the aluminum and leather finish. Long battery life and I like the ability to use it as a power bank for other mobile devices.

Hi. I listen mostly to R & B . Sound quality is excellent for the size. I have the Bose soundlink 1 , soundlink mini and the soundlink mini 2 . It’s not fair to compare them as they double and even triple in size and weight. The esquire does have better clarity and the base. Well it is what it is for the size. It’s well made and stylish. You can’t have it all unfortunately. Great fun

This small Bluetooth had a lack of power! The sound quality was unexpected! The style is beautiful I’m very easy to travel with!

The first gen was fantastic and this one is even better. I love this speaker for its rich sound, small package and it can be used as a battery for your phone in a pinch. Versatility and class.

Not what I was expecting. I bought a Tribit speaker at the same time as this one and my Tribit is definitely louder than this one. I have two other Harman kardon speakers and those are loud and have good bass as well to them compared to this.

First impression out of the box was that this thing is tiny -- not much larger than my iPhone 8 (not even the plus). Second impression was "wow, this is the nicest looking Bluetooth speaker I've ever seen!".The battery was dead as a proverbial doornail out of the box so had to plug it in right off the bat. Fortunately, it can be used while charging so that didn't slow me down.I listen primarily to classical music and the first thing I did was put on the Bach Double Violin concerto. I was really surprised that you could actually hear the separation of the violins. You wouldn't think you would have a separation of sound stage on something smaller than your hand.Next I put on a piano concerto. The lower registers of the piano had a nice "growl" like you would expect out of a real piano. The upper registers were clear without being harsh and the mids were there as well -- so a nice even sound.Unlike most bluetooth speakers that are optimized to throw out a lot of base, this speaker opts for clarity and detail instead... I guess they are catering to those of us not into muddy bass at the expense of musicality and detail.This will also get plenty loud but if you are relying on a tiny little speaker to play loud -- you are probably not using this speaker for its optimal purpose.What is the optimal purpose? Working in an office, cooking dinner, washing dishes, playing cribbage, reading, getting ready for work in the morning.If you want vibrating bass -- go look at the UE or Beats lines -- both of those speakers do emphasize bass over all else. However, if you want clarity in a small compact package and sophisticated look, this is a neat little speaker.[LCAR]

I like to listen to NPR and my local classical station which I can only access through my cell phone. The sound is great.

I got the black, but color shouldn't make any differance. Four hours to charge when I recieved it. I'll update on battery life once I've had a chance, but I've read anywhere from six to ten hours. Either one will be fine as daily use probably won't run part a could hours and charging at night will be the norm. One thing I really wanted this for was the phone conferencing, which I had and loved on my original esquire. The power plug shorted and killed the unit after many years use, but when it was working I'd use it on the road in my vehicle for phone calls hands free. The sound was incredible, as the person on the other end of the phone sounded like they're sitting beside you. I know this unit will deliver that same quality of sound with perfect volume. I got it on the same price of $129.00 so it was a steal. The music sounds OK, yes a bit short on base, but really not that bad. For the compact size, at the beach or picnic or get together it'll be great. Anyplace you can think of anything music, like tenting, traveling, using it to play sleep music at nights ( keep the unit plugged in). I won't use the battery as a charger, because I have a couple battery packs for great. Overall I'm very happy with the sound and size of this new mini. Highly portable and compact, I do motorcycle trips in the summer and taking anything on a trip needs to be compact. I have a tent, sleeping bags and light other great, traps pillows etc. That all totaled weighs in at around twenty five pounds. This will come in handy on my trips as well. Anyway don't hesitate buying one of these, you'll be glad you did. I recommend charging fully before using, power on, press the bluetooth button and connect, just that easy. Oh there was a review on here about this unit and they said the bluetooth dropped out when 40cm away? Nope not even close to true I was forty feet away from the mini and no buzzing or dropped bluetooth, so either he got a lemon, or doesn't know how to use his phone or the mini. After listening more and adjusting my built in equalizer in my phone, I must say the base is pretty damn good after all. BUT THIS THING!

La uso en el trabajo a diario, todo el mundo me la chulea y elogian su potencia con respecto al tamaño, la llevo a todos lados. El sonido es nítido y la portabilidad inmejorable.

Just a beautiful little item.great sound slieak but not light

Para el tamaño que tiene el sonido es buenísimo, no es muy muy fuerte pero es claro no se distorsiona. Además el diseño está increíble!
