Love these pens I've had them for over a year now and they still write extremely well. The manufacturing of these pens produces a really smooth ink that's unlike a normal ballpoint pen. It just glides over paper and doesn't get stuck like a cheap dry BIC pen. It dries quickly on paper, but not when you leave them open accidentally exposed to air which is amazing. I love the style of clicking and the size and build of the pen is just right for me. It also stands out a lot as a white pen so it's easy to find too.

The Monami 153 is a nice cheap pen. The 0.7mm tip writes decently for a ballpoint. The click is satisfying. I've only had a few pens with a side release, such as the Mitsubishi Boxy. It's actually a lot of fun. (BTW, these feel cheaper and lack the unique ergonomic feel of the Boxy but they cost less and write more smoothly.) These pens are pretty minimalist but that's okay. It's part of the charm and they work well for what they are. It's worth adding a few of these to your kids' pencil box, your home pen cup, or the office/school supply cabinet just for something new.

The pen is of decent quality and last quite a while. It's very comfortable to write with and doesn't have any issues if being written either slow or fast. The edition I bought is only blue but a very good solid blue color. Only issue I've noticed is that sometimes the pen will start smudging after a while. Otherwise decent competitor to any other major pen brands.

These pens are amazing! They write incredibly smoothly without any smudging or skipping. The fine point is perfect for precise writing, and the retractable design is very convenient for daily use. Highly recommend for school or office work!

Back in college, I really liked Monami 153 pens for taking down notes. I couldn't find them for a good while since then. Good thing I decided to check on here. Now I've got plenty! I like the hexagon barrel and click mechanism. It doesn't have a clip but I always ended up breaking those off anyway. Writes very smoothly for a ballpoint (not gel) pen. It's not thick like most of the ballpoints you'd find at the big stores. On top of all that, it's relatively cheap! It's the perfect pen for my needs, and when I'm out, I'll definitely consider these again.

Makes me think I'm using a pencil and I still enjoy and prefer a pencil overall, (my penmanship is much better with a pencil). So this pen is awesome. I actually came to find this pen by pure accident while at work. Some one left it on my desk and I saw it, used it and took a photo so I could search the web for it. First photo in my search was on Amazon so I bought a box and love them. How many do you get? 12 in a box. Measurements: 5-11/16 (144.4625mm) long with out exposing the pen point. Pen point exposed the pen is 5-5/8 (142.875mm). Overall Dia: 5/16 (7.9375mm) When the pen is exposed the tiny fin on the side which retracts the pen cartridge makes the overall diameter of the pen 7/16 (11.1125mm) near the button. FYI- Black tip does unscrew so you could change the cartridge if you wanted to. Refills: available at Jets Pens: (Monami 153 Ballpoint Pen Refills) $3.15 for pk of 12--couldn't find them on Amazon. Suggestion: Since there is no way to keep this great pen from falling out of your pocket, I suggest ordering Pocket clips to slide down over the button end. Bought it because of my nostalgia. We grew writing with It. Have very fond memory of this pen.

they are simple pens great for people who writes a lot. I use these and hi-tec and for someone who writes a lot (studying for exams and what not) these are actually better and much comfortable.

I really like that it is not bulky. These days most pens are bulky and I feel like I am writing with something other than a pen. But these are really nice. Clean grip feeling and sharp yet smooth writing. I thought these would be my last purchase for pens because there are dozen of them. But my friends like them so much, I gave some and they stole some. Well, likely I'll have to order another dozen soon.
