Bitter Apple Taste Deterrent Spray for Dogs (8 oz)

Two of my rescue dogs were chewing my furniture like crazy, so I did some research and this product kept coming up. My vet said it was safe so I gave it a shot and it worked wonders. I have a total of five dogs the two younger ones will chew anything in sight; mainly pillows and baseboards. I sprayed this on what they normally chew, and they didn’t chew it. However, if your dogs are anything like mine, they just switched their attention to different things. I recommend spraying everything that you think your dogs might chew. It totally works. Whenever my dog was wanted to chew it, they would taste this and walk away and the one time that they started to chew it I just went over with the spray, sprayed it directly into their mouth (my vet said I could do that) and they never chewed after that so far. I spray it once a week on everything and it seems to last.

I have to share the story! So I have two 8 week old kittens of course they are messing with cords so I bought this spray. I have cords under my bed that I just sprayed. I was not lifting my entire bed to get to it and pretty much sprayed all the cords and outlets in the house. I noticed it was wearing off so I decided to spray it again today on accord in my living room with the kittens right next to me. I spray it all over up and down the cord and the one kitten is burying his face in it almost like suckling it I’m like WTF!!! I am so upset !! I looked down and realized I sprayed catnip spray all over my cords…..! Total blonde moment I had to laugh with relief! I sprayed my bed w the catnip spray & distracted them in the bedroom as I wiped it all off the cords & sprayed it with the correct apple spray; they checked it out & immediately backed off and were disgusted. This stuff works so far they haven’t been messing with ANY cords maybe assuming they all have that spray on it! So 10/10 what I was looking for! Pics of kittens just because ❤️

Giving a 4 star, just because I am unsure if this product doesn't work or if I just have a demon of a cat, I'm going to assume the latter. He chews on everything and this didn't deter him, not even a little bit. Ff anything he probably enjoyed it. This cat is a menace as he refuses to let us keep a phone charging cord in the living room without absolutely annihilating it in the middle of the night. So didn't work for my cat, oh well, hope it works for others.

The Bitter Apple Spray leaves very little odor to repel & keep the puppy from chewing wood furniture. I have learned to soak furniture with the bitter Apple spray but need to return the last bottle as not using.

This is the only deterrent spray that works with my dogs. My dogs actually like to lick other sprays but this one does what it says and deters them from things they should leave alone. I've used these on their paws to keep them from licking, on furniture, on walls and carpet, and even use it on their collar to keep my puppy from playing tug-of-war with the other dog's collars. It sprays easily and it's easy to aim. Well worth the money.

My cat actually loves the taste of this Bitter Apple / No Chew garbage, made my problem WORSE. The order is obnoxious to me, makes me physically sick, and I certainly don't share my cat's enjoyment of tasting the stuff... which will by all means end up on your fingers too and last for days. Instead, buy "Food Grade Grease", this is non-toxic, non-petroleum, grease to lubricate things line food appliance o-rings and mix that with Cayenne Pepper... preferably with the most amount of Scoville Heat Units (SHU) you can get. The Cayenne Pepper from the grocery store is typically around 20,000 SHU and I was able to get 100,000 SHU from Amazon. The smell alone burns and unlike the tests I did with red pepper flakes or store bought Cayenne Pepper, my cat won't get within 4in of the stuff. It won't mix completely because the grease is like silicone grease, but that isn't important. The grease is just to have the Cayenne Pepper stick to any surface that is not porous, like rubber or plastic; which is what my cat loves to chew on. Because it isn't petroleum base, it won't eat the rubber or plastic after a while, and because it is grease it will never dry up. I used a Q-Tip, a small plastic disposable 1oz container (for sauces, or pizza red chili, or pizza parmesan that you get) and just smear it on whatever you don't want the cat to check. Muy buen spray disuasorio de sabor amargo. Es práctico para ayudar a evitar que las mascotas muerdan muebles, cables u otros objetos de la casa. Se aplica fácil, no ocupa mucho espacio y el olor no es fuerte. Me gustó porque ayuda a proteger las cosas y es sencillo de usar en el día a día.

I have several dogs, and occasionally one will pee on something that they are not supposed to. Once one does it, then it’s a domino effect and they all try to do it. The spray actually works very well. Clean the mess and then spray and it deters all the others from peeing in the same spot. Definitely recommend this product.
