Zinc Oxide Sunscreen is the best choice!
I’m happy I decided on Coppertone Pure & Simple Zinc Oxide Sunscreen. The 6 ounce bottle is well worth the price as a little goes a long way. I always give the bottle a good shake before applying it. This was the first year I sought out all zinc oxide sunscreens. I wanted to avoid the bad ingredients in regular sunscreens I’ve used in the past. This is free of octinoxate & oxybenzone which are the 2 main bad ingredients in most sunscreens. This pure & simple sunscreen is free of PABA (para-aminobenzoic acid) which is an ingredient you should avoid in the interest of protecting your overall well-being. It’s also parabens, dye & fragrance free. I like the 50 SPF. I did some research on what it’s a good SPF to look for. This is what I learned: “SPF50 will last 2 hours in the sun. It should protect you 50 times as long as your skin would be able to naturally protect itself. However, remember that the lower the SPF and longer the length of time since application, the less UVB rays will be filtered so a reapplication every two hours is highly recommended.” Another great feature this sunscreen has is the active ingredient of zinc oxide is at 24.08%. I didn’t know what that meant so again I researched it. This is what I learned: “It’s recommended looking for a sunscreen label for a zinc oxide concentration of 20-25% for best protection from UVA and UVB rays.” So thumbs up on everything this Coppertone Pure & Simple sunscreen offers. Be careful as it comes out a little watery quickly but it rubs nicely onto my skin & is absorbed immediately. There’s no residue or white cast look to it period. Yesterday I worked outside for 5 hours. I took a couple breaks & did reapply after 2 hours. I didn’t burn period. This sunscreen kept my skin safe. I also decided to apply it to my face because I had it handy with me outside & my face sunscreen was in the house. This was lightweight on my face & didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I feel it could easily be used as a facial sunscreen. So many positives I’ve found with this sunscreen! I most definitely recommend it!

This stuff WORKS.
I am pale, I have rosacea, and I live in the south. That is a terrible combination. But this sunscreen has saved my butt (well, actually it’s saved my face). It doesn’t sting at, and when I accidentally got it into my mouth it didn’t leave a weird aftertaste (I smear it over my lips). This is my first mineral sunscreen, so I can only compare it to chemical sunscreens. But so far I think it lasts longer (and holds up to sweat better) than any other sunscreen I’ve used. It even survived a day at the water park with minimal reapplication. Now I will be honest, it leaves a white cast. But I don’t even bother trying to rub it all the way in. I just go out looking like Casper the Friendly Ghost. (Also it scored well on consumer reports, but the baby version scored even better, so I think I’ll try that next)

Good mineral sunscreen for sensitive skin
It is great mineral based sunscreen for the price it comes. It is a little tricky to glide onto the screen and gives a white cast but is quickly absorbed into the skin. It is great for sensitive skin.

This is a sunBLOCK not a sunSCREEN
I have psoriasis and need a product to block the sun from my face, chest, shoulders and arms. I'm naturally pasty and never tan I just burn. I noticed many people were upset that this did not get absorbed into the skin. This is not a sunscreen it is a sunblock. Sunblock is not meant to be absorbed into the skin it is supposed to sit on your skin and block the sun. That being said expect it to stay white on the skin. Because it is a sunblock and sits on your skin there is no 20 minute wait to go out into the pool or in the sun the way you have to wait for sunscreen to be effective. It is the same consistency as a lotion, it does spread easily and as promised it is safe for sensitive skin and does not have any odor or fragrance. It is water resistant so expect a bit of work when you shower. I live in Arizona so I need some serious sun block when it is 110 degrees outside. During the time I was outside I did not burn or even tan, so it fulfilled the promise to deliver in protecting the skin on the broad spectrum. Out of the other similar products this had the most product at 6 oz and was less expensive.

Great protection
Like how this product did not have a lot of bad chemicals. I’ve used it on my niece who is very allergic to most sunscreens. We used it for our vacation in Aruba and for the first time in my 60+ years, I did not get sunburn. Even my adult children switched to the sun protector when we were away because it worked best. It is very thick white cream that has to be rubbed in well. I would suggest that you apply small amounts in your hand and rub your two hands together to apply. It is my new go to sun protector.

Goes on easy, comes off -- impossible!
I have very pale, sensitive skin and decided to try a zinc sunscreen. First, the good bits. It does a wonderful job of blocking the sun. It is very water resistant. Next, the bad bits. Even though my skin is very pale, it does leave a visible white cast. And it is very water resistant. It's nearly impossible to get off. Soap doesn't take it off, non-soap face cleansers don't take it off. To get it off my arms, I had to use a scrubbing brush. To get it off my face, I used a Buf-Puf (facial sponge), the surface of which was immediately coated with zinc sunscreen that I could not wash out. And I still didn't get it all off but had to wash a second and third time with fresh Buf-Pufs. I've since read that using olive oil to loosen the zinc works, but I'm not going to try it. I may use it again on my arms, knowing that I'll have to use a brush to scrub it off. That's OK for my arms, but I don't want to get rough with the sensitive skin on my face. Oh, yeah, one more bad thing: I did not expect this sunblock to bother my eyes, which are also quite sensitive to any chemicals around my face. I was very careful not to get the zinc within 3/4 inch of my eyes, yet they were still irritated by it. Great idea, maybe works well for some, but definitely not for me.

Works Great, soothing
This is the best sunscreen I’ve used. I’m fair and after some chemical peels needed extra protection. This sunscreen is soothing and works perfectly. Blocked me from any sun damage and I live in a very sunny location by the ocean.

Will repurchase
I am usually a chemical sunscreen person, but I am making an effort to use more mineral based products. This sunscreen arrived on time with no leakage from the packaging which is always a worry of mine. The size of the bottle is average. The product does start out thick when you apply it, but does absorb decently into the skin once it’s worked in. I have fair skin and still experienced a white cast so if that’s a concern or you have deep skin I wouldn’t recommend this. I will say that in about 20min of applying it was settled into my skin and the cast had lessened. I also do not find it especially sticky. Overall I liked the product and will repurchase it.

Improve the design of the bottle "cover".
It's a nice value for money product. But the design for the cover needs to be improved. Because the hole is flushed with the cover, a lot of the sunscreen lands up on the cover and it's wasted cos I personally found it gross to wipe the excess off the surface and then putting it on my face! Hope there can be a better bottle design at least for the cover:)

Good sunscreen.
Finally a sunscreen that has the active ingredient zinc oxide at 21% which is the recommended level for the sunscreen to be effective. I'm fully satisfied 😊. But a tad costly for me.

La mejor crema protectora de sol
Es una crema un tanto liquida que deja una capa un tanto blanca al inicio pero después se adapta bien al color de piel, no se desvanece rápidamente porque tiene minerales y eso la hace genial. Protege muy bien del sol.
