I am very happy with this product. Period. This is an absolutely no-frills, no worries duplicator that works right out of the box.You put a source disk in the upper bay, put a destination disk on the lower bay and push them both in. Three to ten minutes later, one beep, and the lower bay pops open with a completed copy. Put another disk into the lower bay, push it in, and another copy is made. Repeat until finished. In the case of a read or write error, two beeps, and the top bay opens. That's it. The only control light on the whole unit is for power on. The "manufacturer's opinions" are a single page -- and are probably more than one needs.By the time I wrote this review, I had flawlessly triplicated almost 40 DVD's of old family video tapes from DVD+R to DVD+R (that's about 120 copies). I cannot speak any other media format. Check the spec's for your favorite media.The power switch on my unit was a bit twitchy, but not worth the whining given the product price.The instructions stipulate that the unit will not copy copyrighted material. I didn't try to find out.

I bought this for the express purpose of copying a set of seminars by Dr. Kent Hovind. Not only is it legal to do so, the following is on the back: "Permission is granted to duplicate for free distribution only." So, I was going to make copies for the other church members. Only one (of the seven seminars) duplicated. I tried many times, sometimes with other kinds of DVD blanks; still nothing.It does make good CD copies, but being illegal to do so (except for personal use of the owner), renders it a piece of furniture.Very easy to operate. Takes no setting up: in fact, it came with no directions. So, unless one is buying it to use illegally, it's really of no worth (unless it works all the time, and only with permission to copy the material).

I purchased this item twice from Amazon. Both times it arrived DOA. It would not not start copying after the disks drives were closed. I talked to the product support folks and they confirmed the machines were not working. The second time they "authorized" me to open the back cover and try to re-connect the drive controller, but by doing so I would have to deal with them (instead of Amazon) for any return and shipping charges. I'm sure they were right that it was a simple fix, but I was unwilling to hassle further with their Quality Control (QC) problem. When there is a problem like the one I experienced, it's frustrating not having a display that tells me what's wrong (or even that there is a problem) - I tried every user instruction permutation I could think of and wasted a lot of time (even under the direction of the support folks) to diagnose the problem. Cool product, good price, but lousy QC?

I just received it today, and it does not copy my disks. Also, the instructions are not very helpful. They are too short and in bad English. It says "insert the master CD/DVD media into the 1st drive tray". It doesn't say which one is the first drive tray, top or bottom! Also it does not say anything about what type of media to use.I am just trying to copy a disk that I burned on my standalone Panasonic DVD recorder, not a copyrighted disk.I'm wondering if I am using a brand it doesn't like or something, but I have no idea. I really don't want to have to buy different brands to see if one works better.There is no instruction booklet or customer service number to call, just one sheet of paper.I am using a Maxell DVD-R disk, so if anyone has any suggestions, let me know. I bought this years ago for my Step Farther as a present. He loves this and uses it all the time. It makes perfect copies of all of the disks that he creates so that he can give copies to his friends. This is really a great and easy to use tool for someone with little to no technical abilities.

This is a fantastic product for the price. We use it to copy a number of DVD's and they only take around 10 minutes a piece or less. It is simple and effective and we have had no issues with it at all. I would recommend this to anyone. Many other devices cost hundreds more and this does the job just fine.

Simple! Works just like I wanted. Copies my home made DVD's of my songs . One at a time but thats wall I needed.Instead of wasting an hour trying once again to decipher software on line. I just put in finished DVD and it copiedit in 3 minutes.. worth the money .

I am a COMPLETE MORON at technical things. And I constantly need to make copies of things.THIS machine is sooooooo SIMPLE to operate it blew my mind at one-third the price of others.Only the "How to" sheet had ONE mistake on it because they had moved the ON/OFF buttonto the FRONT from the BACK was wrong. And IT IS SMALLER than anyone elses.PLUS the 888 technical support could not be quicker to respond and as simple.Thank you thank you thank you thank you! Wow wow wee.
