French Market Ground Restaurant Blend Med-Dark Roast 12oz (Pack of 1)

I love this coffee and im so mad I ran out. Chicory is a root from the dandilion family and has its own natural caffeine and rosted taste. It really balances the cup well. This is from a famous place in New Orleans and you can just imagine how a true cup would be at the place itself and how well it could pair with beignets. Benefits are good. Fresh. As for Durability, idk what they mean but the can is good. Acidity is right. Roast color is nice and medium dark. Digestion was fine.

Just as represents, chicory coffee. Smith no after taste classic French quarter, Louisiana coffee. The best, arrived fast on time at a great price. I highly recommend this.

Good flavor and quality

I love Cafe DuMonde chicory coffee but the price has gotten ridiculous so I tried French Market. This medium-to-dark restaurant blend is delicious! Not quite as bold as Cafe DuMonde but very good. And the price is basically $10 per can - much more reasonable. I’ll try their dark chicory blend next to see her w that compares but overall, I’m very pleased with French Market coffee.

This is a more bitter coffee and is meant to be served with milk and sugar. I acquired a taste for it living in Louisiana.It's nothing like a straight espresso. It doesn't have the same full-bodied flavor.

Not sure I could find a better Chicory coffee. I'd even recommend this for someone who wants to know what Chicory coffee is about. Look up the history on using chicory, you might find it interesting. It is a unique taste, and some would say an... acquired one. You'll know this isn't regular coffee right away. There is another popular brand based on an extremely popular cafe in New Orleans. I tried them both and much preferred the coffee to chicory blend in this one. It still gives it that unique "New Orleans coffee" flavor while also capturing a taste I can only describe as "farmer rugged." The kind of taste you'd expect from a pot of coffee made by an old farmer who's been waking up at 4am for the last 30 years and always starts with a solid cup of coffee. Not too bitter. Not to acidic. Hits just right, but with that extra flavor of chicory bracing it.If you ever took a vacation to the French Quarter to experience that "New Orleans" charm and feel, this will bring it back and make you long to have some hot fresh beignets at hand.

As a decaf coffee this is really good. The taste is worthy of a 5 rating. The container is a very professionally made can with a tight fitting lid. However, two reasons I only gave it a 3. The “Chicory” flavor is minimal, second reason is I’m not sure if it’s decaf or caffeinated. See the attached pics. The description on Amazon says caffeinated but the side of the can says decaffeinated. I’m guessing it’s really decaf because that’s what’s on the can, my wife really likes it, so I just bought my second can.
