Electric Oil Scavenge Gear Pump Remote Turbo Rear Mount Return Line 12 Volts

wanted a good quality pump for removing oil form 2 diesel motors and a generator on my boat sucks them dry.i save $100 per change just in oil price difference dock price to auto parts store price and that’s on Dino oil delo 400,

I bought this unit to use as an oil scavenge pump for my low mounted turbocharger. After I got it I found out that it is not rated at a high enough temperature to use with hot oil. Other than that it looks pretty well made, but I was unable to use it so had to return it. The return was no hassle. I haven't looked at recent ads for this pump, but when I bought it there was no mention of its temperature rating in the ad, which I consider a serious error, and misleading as well, because of the way it was advertised - I was lucky to read about the low temp rating before I attempted to use it.

I purchased a Turbo Specialties turbo kit for my Yamaha Rhino. The scavenger pump supplied with the kit would not move enough oil out of the turbo to prevent "oiling" at high RPM. After trying 2 of their pumps and restricting the turbo pressure line as much as I dared, it was still oiling. I purchased this pump. The pump is a helical gear pump with 3/8 inlet and outlet rated at 3 GPM. I was able to attach 1/2" hose barbs to the pump and mount it directly under the turbo. This pump seems to be able to scavenge the turbo with capacity to spare.
