I only bought these because I really wanted a second pair. They work really well and our large enough to not bother your ear. A strong snap so they stay secure… Fold well quality is great although they're kind of expensive you never need to replace them because of their quality and the design is top-notch! Protect my ears and high winds and cold weather… Cannot say enough about these ear mitts!

I bought these to wear while biking during the California "winter". I commute 26 miles round trip, which takes just under an hour each way. In the northern California winter, temperatures during the morning commute can be in the mid- to high-30's or low 40's. And when you're biking, you have an automatic 15 mph breeze. My ears got COLD. These things are perfect for keeping your ears warm in any circumstance, but especially while biking. There's no band to interfere with the fit of your helmet. They block the wind but do not block any sound, so you can easily hear traffic around you. And they will not come off until you take them off. Wearing the helmet adds even more assurance that they'll stay on, but that's totally unnecessary. They won't budge even without a helmet. When you first pop them on they may feel a little uncomfortable, and you wonder if maybe your ears won't hurt after wearing them for a while. But the opposite happens - your ears get used to them in under a minute and you totally forget you're wearing them. I would totally buy these again and would happily recommend them. Good purchase.

Last winter I'd wear a stocking cap on my runs to keep my ears warm but then my head would get sweaty so I'd take it off and then my ears would get cold etc. For this winter I wanted something like those behind the head ear-muffs to keep my head warm while allowing the sweat on my forehead to dissipate in the cold. On Amazon of course I saw these and got them instead. I purchased the grey ones and they look really good/neutral. When I first opened them I was a little disappointed cause they wouldn't stay on my ears while first trying them out. Turns out that there's instructions for that and they "clip" on to the back and mostly the top of your ear, no ear lobe required, (I have an ear lobe though). There are sort of two halves to it. A soft fleece outer half and a hard plastic inner half with a half-moon hole in it, also covered with some fleece for comfort. There has been some fairly strong breezes while running but surprisingly they haven't been blown off my head, which I was worried about. Hearing isn't impaired at all wearing these. I've gone running in mid-30's to low 50 degree weather with these and they kept my ears from getting cold. Anything cooler than the 10's and these alone, w/o more headgear and you're ears may get cold but I'm not sure. After wearing them for more than an hour your ears feel fine until you take them off and then I notice my ear top may be a bit sore but it's goes away quickly. I haven't worn them for more than 2 hours. I probably would recommend these only for light winter duty (running, walking, hanging out) vs heavy duty (construction work, skiing, sledding) cause they may fall off and get lost without having some sort of hat or head-band over them to keep them on.

I can't sing their praises enough....these are AWESOME!! I had read some reviewers that sent them back because they couldn't figure out how to put them on. I have zero problem at all with this. All you do is tuck your ears into them, then rotate slightly clockwise and counterclockwise and press to secure and they pop into place. It couldn't be easier. I wear these out for my walks as I have severe pain in my inner ear from cold air/wind in my ears. They SAVE ME! They allow me to go on all my walks with no pain in my ears at all. They hug my head so no air slips through and makes my ears cold. I would love to hug the inventors and tell them, "Thanks for giving me my walks back!" I'm headed to Europe for 6 months and these are my perfect ear companions. I used to wear the wrap around the back of my neck things that covered my ears, but these are 100 x's better! Not having that thing wrap around the back of my neck is awesome. And the fact I can pop these in my purse, pockets or any little place I need is fantastic. Let me tell you.... I buy THOUSANDS of dollars of items on Amazon and review about 2% of them due to my hectic schedule. I wore them out tonight on my walk and had to come in and make SURE I wrote this review so that others like me with inner ear pain from the cold would not hesitate to get these and know you will LOVE them!! Just practice putting them on and soon...you'll have it too! Very thankful to the creator of these!!!

I love these earmuffs. I fit them onto my ears and bend/snap them on and they fit and stay on!! They’re warm, block the wind that hurts my ears, but I can still hear everything just fine. When I broke my first pair after yeeeeears of use, I hunted these down to buy another pair. I do hope they’ll make them in brown again.

In the past I've always bought Earbags, but I thought I would try these. Unfortunately these do not stay on and they hurt my ears too. I ordered the "regular" size, not the smaller one. I'm a 5'7" slender female - I don't know how these would fit 85% of the population as the product description says. My sister did call me Dumbo when I was a kid, but she was just kidding, right? I do like that they cover more of the side of your head - they are bigger in that way than the ear pops. But the opening for your ear is significantly smaller. I have not had any luck getting these to stay on either - they just fall off when you are standing there. It was worth a try - unfortunately now I have two pair that won't work. I don't have the materials on hand in order to return them.

I live in a very cold and snowy climate and winters here can be brutal. Also, I work at a University, which means I have to trudge through the snow at least half a mile from where I park to get to my building every day. That can be very unpleasant first thing in the morning on some days. In addition, I go to the gym at 5:30 am 3 days per week, and while that's a quicker walk in from the parking lot, it's still really cold and with my hair up in a ponytail, I can't wear a beanie. I wanted something I could wear and then put in my pocket while I work out. I have very sensitive ears and when they get cold or lots of wind blows on/in them, I am not a happy camper. I get really bad headaches as a result. I have always worn beanies (toboggans, hats, whatever you call them where you're from) or the band style ear muffs, but I also have very long, very fine, very straight hair. This is relevant for a lot of reasons. If I start out the day with a beanie or band style head band on, my hair will be flat, dented and very staticky for the rest of the day. Not to mention the forehead lines that take a while to go away sometimes. I HATE that! Winter is the absolute worst time for my hair as it is because it gets so dry. I don't need hats and ear muffs making things worse. My hope was that these things (which are an ingenious invention) would take the edge off of Jack Frost for my poor ears while maintaining my hair style. Indeed they do! I now own both these and another brand of a similar product (Earbags by Sprigs) and have done a thorough side by side comparison over the last few weeks to determine which are best. While these do work at keeping my ears warm for short stints outdoors and help preserve my hair, they are not my favorite for a few reasons: 1) The price point is something like $6-10 MORE for these than the other brand and I can't find any reason for that in terms of quality, comfort and warmth. Also, the others come with a cute little drawstring pouch to keep them in and these come with nothing. 2) These are larger and bulkier with a harder outer shell (see the side by side pics). The biggest problem is how tall they are. While you have them on, if you so much as tilt your head too much to one side they bump into your neck or shoulder causing them to come lose or pull on your ears. I found this awkward and uncomfortable. You definitely won't forget you have them on. 3) These are not as cute, with fewer style, color and design choices. 4) Probably the most important thing to me is comfort and these pinch/hurt my ears more and more quickly than the other brand. Any product you put on/over or around your ears is going to cause discomfort eventually, but I can't wear these for longer than 20-30 minutes without having to take them off. That isn't the case with the earbags. They are much more comfortable for longer periods. Again, my ears are pretty sensitive so others might have a different experience, but that's me. I do like that these can be worn under my hair or with my hair behind my ears, that they keep my ears pretty warm for short stints outside in cold weather and really help cut down on wind, and that I can wear them with my sunglasses on. Beyond that however, I have to say that the prize of best over ear warmer goes to the Earbags by Springs. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! I will probably give these ones to my husband to use or keep them in my car. All in all they work pretty well but aren't my favorites. Hopefully this helps someone else! I live in Anchorage, AK and it's frequently the case when I'm out cross country skiing that I don't need a winter hat (because I'm getting a sweat-inducing workout), but I do need something to keep my ears warm. Ear Mitts are perfect. During very cold weather, Ear Mitts keep my ears toasty even if my hat or neck gaiter cannot cover my ears completely. Also, in the shoulder seasons, mornings and evenings can be pretty cool leading and riding a bike frequently results in headaches from a cold inner ear. Ear Mitts once against work here because they shield the ear from the wind. These are a necessary part of my outdoor gear.

I dislike the price now.
