how far will this increase signal range?

Typical Range depends on the power required, so a 25 watt PTZ dome camera may be located 200 m (656 ft.) away using a single AXIS T8129. Or, the cable length to a regular 5 watt network camera may extend up to 400 m (1312 ft.), by fitting three AXIS T8129 at 100 m (328 ft.) intervals. Check further about ranges and or Maximum distances on the AXIS website.

Will this work for IP cameras other than Axis?

Yes, its just an Axis brand POE extender repeater. There are other brands and they function similarly.

Utile se avete problemi di lunghezza della tratta ma occhio all'umidità

Ottimo iniettore PoE per superare i fatidici 100 mt, tuttavia se lo usate all'esterno assicuratevi di stoccarlo all'asciutto altrimenti avrà vita breve, se proprio dovete piuttosto annegatelo nella classica palla di silicone. Posto a 90mt dalla sorgente alimento senza problemi una telecamera PoE posta a 170mt
