She didn’t know what she wanted… Morgan O’Malley has seen a lot of kinky things as the hostess of a cable sex talk show. But she’s never met a man like Jack Cole before. A self-proclaimed dominant, he’s as alpha as a male can get—and good for Morgan to have around when an obsessed stalker ratchets up his attempts to get to her. Until he made her beg for it. Though Jack is a bodyguard, Morgan feels anything but safe in his presence because, slowly and seductively, Jack is bringing her deepest fantasies to the surface. And when he bends her to his will, what’s more shocking than her surrender is how much she enjoys it—and starts to crave his masterful touch. A willing player in Jack’s games, Morgan knows that his motives aren’t pure, but she has no idea how personal they are… Review: You Never Forget Your First - One of My Very Favorite Books - This was my very first erotica and it started me on my path of debauched reading. LOL. In all seriousness, I absolutely love this book. Doing research for her tv show, Morgan interviews Jack, aka Master J, a well known Dom, to gain information on the D/s lifestyle. The problem? Someone is stalking Morgan and has her running scared. After the perp breaks into her apartment and trashes her home, she flees California. The other problem? Jack's only reason for agreeing to Morgan's interview is as a set up. He plans to use her to get back at her fiance, Jack's former best friend who stole and seduced Jack's wife. Jack plans to seduce Morgan, make a tape of it and send it to Morgan's fiance as the ultimate revenge. Problem #3? Morgan doesn't actually have a fiance. As part of the cover she's using while she's being stalked she has her half-brother pose as her fiance while she's in danger and has to move in with him. During their first meeting at a public restaurant, someone starts shooting at Morgan and it's only Jack's expertise that gets her out of the restaurant alive. Jack's real job is bodyguard/security expert and owns his own security firm. After Morgan's brush with death at the hands of an unknown assassin, Jack takes Morgan to a cabin in the middle of the Louisiana swamp for safe keeping while his partner, Deke, tries to track down who's after Morgan. While holed up in the cabin, Jack finds out that Morgan is really a sub who has been hiding her true nature after both her ex and her mother had called her depraved (and a lot of other things). So ashamed of her thoughts that she refuses to acknowledge to Jack that she really is submissive and Jack tries to prove to her that she is. They enter into a highly erotic D/s relationship which Jack explains cannot truly work until she trusts him completely. The irony is that by the time Jack realizes that he's fallen in love with Morgan, he'd already emailed a video of his and Morgan's first sexual encounter to her 'fiance' and is so afraid of losing her that he doesn't come clean about what he did, especially since she's finally given him her trust, submitted herself to him fully, and admits that she's in love with him as well. As you can guess, nothing good comes out of the situation once Morgan finds out the extent to which he used and betrayed her. It's the only thing I didn't like about the book. That Jack demanded Morgan's trust, even knowing that he'd already betrayed it. But if he hadn't, we wouldn't have had the climax (since the killer comes for her just as Jack's betrayal is revealed) and we wouldn't have had such a heartpounding denouement. Touching, heartfelt, and erotic as hell, this book had me spellbound from the very first chapter and never let go. Loved every minute, chapter and page of this book. The characters were believable, likeable, seductive. And I look forward to seeing Jack and Morgan pop up in the other Wicked Lovers books in the series that came after this one. Amazing writing. Review: 3.5-stars: 'Wicked Ties' by Shayla Black - Whew! Wicked Ties was one hot book, and it is exactly the type of book I needed during this crazy winter weather. This book has been on my TBR for a while, and I’m glad I finally picked it up. This is the first book in Shayla Black’s Wicked Lovers series, and after reading it, I’m definitely picking up the rest of the series. If there is one thing I love, it’s reading BDSM books like this one, and Shayla gave me a dominant that will be hard to forget, even if I had a love/hate relationship with him the whole time. First, I’m going to admit right away that I only gave this book 3.5-stars, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it. It just had some things that may have driven me crazy, which is why I gave it this rating. It’s mainly due to the main characters and how they kept secrets from one another. I’ll get into that a little bit. The heroine, Morgan, has a stalker, and the moment she meets the hero, Jack Cole, to ask him about his dominant ways for her talk show, the stalker escalates and tries to kill her. It’s up to Jack to protect her since he’s not just a Dom but also a bodyguard. However, Jack has other motives for getting close to Morgan, which have nothing to do with her talk show. He wants revenge for what his best friend did to him, and what better way to get back at him than to get with his fiancée, Morgan. The issue is, the more time he spends with her while protecting her from the stalker, the more he wants her to be a submissive because he sees those qualities in her. Not only that, but he wants her completely after he has her, and it wouldn’t be the perfect revenge to get back at his best friend if he steals his fiancée? Here’s the kicker, though: Morgan has a secret about her fiancé and she’s going to keep that from Jack until her fiancé ends up confronting Jack about Morgan. This is what drove me crazy. Jack and Morgan are keeping secrets and motives that could have been easily shared, and there wouldn’t be a real fallout. I know it makes the storyline more interesting, keeping readers on the edge of their seats, but Morgan’s secret should have been mentioned, since what she was doing was odd in the first place. Then there is Jack with his revenge. He’s a grown man still upset with what happened, and he was focused on getting even and using Morgan. I would have been the same as Morgan when finding out what he was doing with her, too. With that being said, I did like this story and was trying to figure out who was targeting Morgan because this person had a strange obsession with her. They were crossing so many lines that I would have called the police, but Morgan felt it was better to run and hide and figure out who the stalker was later. Thankfully, Jack was a protector and knew how to keep her safe, and his friend Deke also got involved and played a role in the book. A very spicy role. 😘 When it came to the BDSM in the book, Shayla brought the heat between Jack and Morgan. The whole time they were together, and he was protecting her, he was making her realize she was a sub, even though she kept telling him she wasn’t. He was teaching her the dynamics, and when she mentioned what she lacked in other relationships, he showed her what she was always craving. When the stalker was revealed, I was shocked because I thought it was someone else with how the story was going, but no, Shayla surprised me. I definitely wasn’t expecting it, which had my jaw dropping. I’m glad in the end, though that person is handled, and Morgan is safe, and she gets an HEA with Jack after they work out some things. POV: Third Person (Dual POV) Would I recommend this book? Yes. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy reading Contemporary Romance with lots of spice and a suspense storyline. If you do plan on reading this book, may I suggest having a fan handy because it’s going to bring the heat, and you’re going to need to have something to cool down with. What to Expect: ✔️BDSM ✔️Bodyguard/Protector Romance ✔️Alpha/Dominant Hero ✔️Heroine in Danger ✔️Suspense Elements

HOLY EROTICA! JACK COLE is a dream come true!
******* THIS BOOK IS FOR 18 YEARS AND OLDER DUE TO CONTENT. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS REVIEW, EXPLICIT LANGUAGE AND SEX WILL BE IN THIS REVIEW ******* HOLY HADES AND APHRODITE! Man oh man this book is hot sex on a platter. I have to say I am really upset at myself for not reading this series sooner. I really loved the beginning of this series. I have to say that I read book six first and while I was reading Mine To Hold I realized that all the characters knew each other and had a close relationship with one another. So I decided to look into the book and the author and that is when I found out I read book six like a moron. So I decided I needed to read the other five books to get the full impact of what was going on. In Wicked Ties we meet Morgan O'Malley who is the host of a sex talk show. She is a smart and beautiful women who is looking for someone to meet her every needs and desires. She is working on a segment on BDSM and she is going to talk to a dominant who is going to be interviewed for her next show. She worries about going to see him because she has a stalker and he is getting more and more brazen by following her where ever she goes. He sends her letters and pictures of her every move and tells her he is going to kill her because she is his and his alone. While talking to the dominant via e-mail chat the dominant tells Morgan he has to go for business and wants to meet her. She decides to meet him in Louisiana at a restaurant of her choosing. Morgan is afraid to go to Louisiana because of her stalker but once she gets there and meets the dominant she is enthralled by him. As they are talking the dominant notices something out of the corner of his eyes and shouts at Morgan to get down as someone starts shooting at Morgan. Morgan is laying underneath the dominant who she finds out his name is Jack. Jack is a body guard and ex military man so he knows how to protect people and in that moment where Morgan is getting shot at Jack decides he is going to protect Morgan. As Jack decides what to do next with Morgan he enlists the help of his partner and best friend Deke. Jack hides Morgan at his house on the bayou until he and Deke figure out who Morgan's stalker is. As Jack and Morgan spend more time together Morgan is starting to wonder if her fantasies can become reality. See Morgan secretly has fantasies and desires that she needs but she will not admit to them. But the more time she spend with Jack the dominant the more she knows he can fulfill her fantasies. But the age old question is will she be able to submit to Jack or will she hide her fantasies and move on? Plus she has to worry about the stalker. Who is her stalker? Why is he stalking her? Why does he want her dead? What will happen between her and Jack? Will she let her guard down enough for Jack to give her what she wants no what she needs? Read this book because you will not be disappointed. The sex between the two is INCREDIBLE!

Morgan O'Malley is running - both from her own secret desires and a dangerous stalker. Leaving California for Texas seemed the perfect solution to hiding from the man stalking her. But when he finds her at a lunch meeting with Jack Cole, her dangerous stalker turns absolutely lethal. Jack Cole has waited years for his revenge, and the perfect opportunity finally arrives in the form of the beautiful Morgan when he meets with her to discuss BDSM for an episode of her sex talk show. Jack, a Dom, instantly recognizes the unrealized submissive lurking within Morgan, and determines to make her realize her every fantasy - with him, destroying her engagement to his long-time enemy in the process. When Morgan is attacked, Jack promptly appoints himself her bodyguard, determining to protect her and have his revenge all at once. As Jack and Morgan open up to each other, they begin to fall in love. But will their needs prove more dangerous to their love than the stalker? With the first excerpt I read for Shayla Black's novel, Wicked Ties, I was hooked. Although not typically into BDSM plots, the excerpts Shayla Black has posted on her website and blog stirred an interest in me that was undeniable. I was therefore understandably excited at the opportunity to review Wicked Ties. The book did NOT disappoint - in any way. As I mentioned, this book has a heavy BDSM theme, although it never seems `in your face' hard core BDSM like some other novels. Make no mistake, Jack Cole is as dominant as Morgan O'Malley is submissive, but the author's approach to these scenes makes BDSM palatable to most readers. While the love scenes are explicit and plentiful, the scenes never include acts of degradation. Indeed, although Jack is confused concerning his conflicting feels over Morgan, we never doubt that every thing he asks of her is geared towards making her happy and fulfilled. Even though he had intended to use her for revenge, Jack can not help his desire to help Morgan with her struggle to reconcile the desires she has viewed as depraved. I said before the love scenes are plentiful, and it is no exaggeration. If you are looking for a steamy read with a great plot, this is a must read! Shayla Black proves herself as one of those authors who adeptly sneaks a very complete plot in the middle of her love scenes. The stalker plot provides plenty of suspense and of course, a nice twist as to the identity of the stalker. Casting Jack in the role of bodyguard with a madman terrorizing Morgan is the perfect way to showcase his ultimate concern for her well-being and safety while simultaneously leading her into his world of BDSM. Shayla Black already has a sequel to Wicked Ties in progress, and I guarantee this will be on my automatic buy list! Series Order: Wicked Ties Decadent

1st Book in this Series.. Jack & Morgan
Okay I finished this one today.. Let me say I think books 2 and 3 are the best out of this series. But this one is not a waste of time for you to read. I'm not really into the whole D/s relationship, but it worked for Morgan and Jack's story. I love how the cajun culture was incorporated in this one explaining Jack's roots and his family.(I have some cajun blood as well). I loved Jack's grand pere' He was hilarious! I didn't know much about jack from the other books. Jack is certainly a character and he's not for the "faint of heart" BEWARE! Dude does not mess around. My problem with this one is, I just can't get my mind around, if you love someone, and the 1st time you say it, it's when you are allowing ur best friend to share with you such an intimate act of physically being together. It's more believable when feelings arise for 2 people after allowing a menage to happen. But Someone as Alpha as Jack is and knowing he is in love with Morgan, I just don't see how he could have allowed it to happen after realizing his feelings for her. Who cares if she says it's what she wanted! If you got a dude like Jack why would you still need this "fantasy" But whatever... The plot was okay. It was predictable but not to the degree of me having to roll my eyes as the story unfolded. I'd recommend this read but it's just MY least favorite.

5 Star Erotic Romance!!
This book was awesome. I stayed up till three in the morning just to finish it. I could not get enough of Jack and Morgan. The book starts off with Morgan, who is a successful businesswoman with a talk show that deals with sex. But soon we see that she is running scared, literally. She even moves to another state to get away from the stalker, but we see that he soon follows. And with all this, she still has a talk show to run. Her latest topic is BDsm. So she goes to meet Jack, a Dominant who she met online in hopes of getting more information on the lifestyle. Jack has a plan, and it seems to be working out perfectly. He has arranged to get a meeting with his ex friends finance' in hopes of getting revenge. He plans to seduce Morgan, and then shove the affair in his ex friends face. Then he feels his revenge will be complete. But as they get five minutes into their meeting the stalker open fires on them at a cafe, and Jack literally drags her into safety. That is afterall his specialty, being in the military and now a bodygaurd, protecting someone is second nature to him. Jack quickly decides that protecting Morgan untill the stalker is caught is the perfect way to get close to her and to finally seduce her. Morgan is reluctant and suspicious at first, but finally agrees to accept his help. So Jack quickly takes her out of the city and into the back woods of Louisana to his secluded cabin. This is where things spice up in the story quick. Morgan is undeniably attracted to Jack. He is tall, dark, has a body to die for, and the charm and confidence to melt any female. And Jack quickly discovers that she is the woman he has been having dreams about for months now. He also sees the perfect submissive in her, if only she will admit it. I loved watching Morgan struggle with her desire to be dominated in bed. She knew that is what she needed, and had always secretly dreamed about, but had a hard time excepting it. She felt ashamed for liking it. And Jack was perfect. Once he realized Morgan was more important than revenge, he started helping her deal with her needs and desires. Helped her see there was nothing wrong with wanting to be dominated. He was so caring and patient while breaking her in. I think he truly understood her, even when Morgan didn't understand herself. And he knew exactly what to give her, he put her desires first. This book is not to be missed. I am eagerly awaiting Deke's story.

Such a great story! Exciting to read and super hot!
Everything about this was awesome! Great story, super hot (I mean HOT!), well written characters, and a nice bit of intrigue. Loved it! I was pulled right in from the beginning. It had a nice mysterious element and I liked the details being laid out. Jack and Morgan were great characters. Loved their chemistry. I liked their interactions and how they're details were learned. There was really good development. Jack and Morgan were beyond hot together. There was so much passion between them and they had extremely well written and detailed erotic scenes (with a nice bit of kink too!). The author is very descriptive and thorough. There are ups and downs as feelings are fought, I loved the growth and acceptance they go through as there relationship works itself out. There are really nice secondary characters as well, Jack’s grandfather was adorable and Deke was way sexy! I'm hoping he has his own story at some point. This is the first book in a series and there are a ton of others out already so I am looking forward to reading more. There was a really great build to the story and Jack and Morgan’s relationship, it was exciting to read. I liked the details and descriptions really pulling me into their erotic world. I mentioned this was hot right? Combustible might be a better description. It was such a great story but some parts were drawn out. Lots of narrative happening. It's dual POV which was awesome, I loved getting inside Jack’s head. Morgan could be frustrating since she was hanging onto who she thought she should be instead of accepting who she was but I loved watching that fight within herself and then finally getting her a-ha moment of understanding. If you’re looking for something extremely hot with a nice bit of kink with the added bonus of intrigue, I'd definitely recommend this.

A masterful story!!
This is my first Shayla Black book and I absolutely loved it. Her book, Wicked Ties was absolutely delicious! Morgan O'Malley is being stalked by a dangerous and increasingly aggressive stalker. In steps Jack Cole as her bodyguard, an equally dangerous and an extremely aggressive sexual dominant who fires all of Morgan's hidden desires. After an attempt on Morgan's life Jack hides her in his cabin in the bayou of Louisiana, and sets about stripping her of all her protective layers until he finds the perfect submissive underneath. Slowly he breaks her down, making her crave him, just as much as he's craving her. While he helps her with her repressed sexuality, she also helps to heal him with his own issues and past betrayals. Jack Cole is one irresistible dominant. He comes on hard, fast and aggressive with Morgan. He takes one look at her and just knows there is a wicked, wanton submissive inside her just dying to come out and play. He is as subtle as a Mack truck when it comes to getting what he wants and what he wants is Morgan, submitting to him. He's a firm master and he establishes that right away, but he is also very sensitive to her needs. He treats her with care, but due to his nature he's relentless. At times his bullheadedness in getting Morgan to accept her hidden, repressed sexuality was too much. For a moment I was like, "Enough already! Leave the girl alone!" Fortunately, once they get past it then it's quite a fun ride! The sex in Wicked Ties is very hot with a lot of emphasis on D/s. Jack pulls out all the toys for Morgan, velvet rope, vibrators, and his infamous playroom. There is also one hot menage scene that will leave you gasping. While the sex and the toys is as hot as one can get, the most important thing Jack attacks is Morgan's mind. His voice is the thing that guides her during one of their sessions and it's extremely erotic. He's in her mind as much as he's in her body and it's what urges her on. Also, his French Cajun voice is incredibly sexy. I highly recommend this book for anyone whose looking for strong emphasis on a D/s relationship or anyone struggling with repressed sexuality. How Jack slowly heals Morgan into honoring herself and her desires was very touching.

HOT start to a dominant series!
I felt like a bit of mindless fun, and I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I actually really enjoyed it! It was a great weekend read!!!!! It rated really high on the ‘erotic romance’ category on goodreads, so I knew to expect the unexpected! And as a warning for people there is a scene with MFM. Morgan is researching Dom and Sub relationships for an episode on her cable sex talk show, which is funny because she is very inexperienced when it come to sex. She was raised by a highly religious mother, who turned to the church after a failed romance with a married man. But Morgan is intrigued, there is something about submitting to a man and having a man take control in the bedroom that makes her a bit weak in the knees. This is something that she has been subconsciously seeking in previous relationships, but after sharing her desire with her ex fiancée, which does not go down well, Morgan has convinced herself that Dom and Sub relationships are barbaric and for deviants. When she meets with Jack in a public place to talk about his experience as a Dominant she is instantly drawn to him, there is just something about his demeanour that calls to her. The meeting is cut short when Morgan is shot at by a stalker that she is in hiding from, and Jack (an ex military now bodyguard) saves her life. Jack, who has his own agenda when it comes to Morgan, cant help his protective instinct kick in, as well as his Dominant instinct. He convinces her to employ him as her bodyguard and whisks her away to his house in the middle of the swamp, where he takes his time convincing her that she is a born submissive. It does not take long for Jack’s revenge motivation to fly out the window and he finds himself falling for the perfect woman for him. He is convinced that Morgan is his soul mate, the one woman he has been dreaming about for years, and he will stop at nothing to convince her that she belongs with him. Unfortunately as we all know the best plans often go awry and when he finds himself having to face the lie he told her, he believes that his future with her is over. Or maybe her stalker can take her life before Jack can come clean. Morgan is a fun character! She is so at war with herself it must be torture in her mind! While her body wants everything that Jack can dish out, her mind is determined that she will never be a submissive. She has internalised all the names her ex called her when he found out about her desires, and she finds it incredibly hard to come to terms with this. Not to mention that she is being stalked by a man whose actions and escalating, the only family she has is being shipped off to Iraq and the only person she can call a friend is number one on the list of possible stalkers. So coming to terms with your sexual preferences is probably not fore front in her mind. When Jack convinces her that all he needs in one night to convince her that she was born to be his partner, all bets are off. Jack, how ever dominant he is, is just like any other person, he has fears, insecurities and annoying families. His Grandfather has been telling him from a young age about a curse on his family, which centres around the males in the family dreaming about his other half, his soul mate for months before he lays eyes on her. When Jack tells his Granddad that he dreamed of Morgan before he met her, the old guy pulls some sneaky moves to push them together. What he doesn’t know is that Jack, who initially used Morgan for revenge is actually falling for her, and digging himself a bigger and bigger hole! So I really enjoyed this book, it was hot, but not so over the top it was unbelievable. Jack and Morgan have passion overload and I found myself wanting them both to get their happily ever after, even if I did think Jack was a dick for pulling what he did. There are a number of more books in the series, that I definitely think I will visit!

I downloaded this onto my kindle then realsied that it contained menage, which is not really my thing, so i decided not to read it. however, while on holiday and managed to read everything else i reluctanly read this and WOW! i am so glad i did. it has to be one of my fave books. i really loved it. the trouble for me with meneage, i hate the idea of a man sharing his woman with anyone, but jack is no ordinary man. i loved him, i loved the book. loved it so much i brought in book form too. it's a keeper. while reading this on my kindle someone spoke to me, i literally threw the kindle up in the air as if i had been caught doing something very naughty....delicious.

Cold shower needed!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, this was a sexy book and a half!! If you're looking for alpha male winning his female, then yeah it's got that but way more besides! The sex scenes are scorching and often, this book is explicit and definitely in the same league as Lora Leigh's 'Men of August'. The basic plot is about revenge, a stalker, and a woman learning to accept her desire for dominance in her sex life does not make her a deviant or a whore. But the plot stays basic - this is a series of seriously steamy encounters, pushing to the limits of erotica and then some!! 4.5 stars from me and looking forward to her next book 'Decadent' due out later this year! If you're after straight forward romance, don't bother, but if you want to get down and dirty, Wicked Ties is for you!
