This one's cute but I really wanted the one with the soldiers came into the town and put a stone in a pot and said they were going to make stone soup. Everyone that was hidden came out of their little houses and added whatever they had to the pot. Was a lovely moral to the story! Share and reep the rewards together. A Wonderful Trip Down Memory Lane
I am so thrilled to have found Stone Soup again! This book brought back so many fond memories from my childhood, and now I get to share it with my little one. My kid loves the story just as much as I do, and it’s been such a joy to read it together. The story is timeless, with a great message about community and sharing. The illustrations are charming and really capture the magic of the tale. I’m so glad to have this classic in our collection, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to share a wonderful story with their family!

Great Book
There should be more books like this and less new school Montessori garbage (i.e. overanalyzing feelings) out there.

I read this book as a child and fell in love with it
Stone soup is a very cute and clever book. It teaches innovation when one has little to work with. Moreso, we both just thought it was a warm and cute book. Loved the team work to make the soup and it even gave me an idea to make “stone soup” with my little one in the kitchen with all the ingredients in the book. (We ended up making beef stew) 🤣😭 My son gobbled up the stew completely! Most importantly this book gave us an opportunity to share and make memories.

I love this book
This is a good story to read to any child in the early childhood setting, such as kinder and Pre-K. Even it can be good for 1st grade. The kids can enjoy the activities that come from the little fable.

Lovely story traditional tale with repetition so that the children could join in the telling. Popular request from little ones Can we have the soup story? Has a deeper meaning introducing the notion of the confidence trickster. Lovely to see the recognition of this dawning on the faces of the children!
