Took many months to write this review. I sew these seeds direct in the soil in August and by the time my chicks were 2 months old there was grass and it was beautiful. 5 months later I let my chickens she went all the way down and it grows back. They absolutely love it.

These seeds worked. They sprouted just like they should. To test them I put them in a glass jar with water then after a couple days I dumped it out and continued to rinse it every other day. Set it up so excess water would drain and after a few days we had action! By the end of the week I had a nice little treat for my chickens. We also threw it out on the ground in the run and it worked there too but was eaten up instantly by the little velociraptors

Planted it in the area where the chickens will do most of their foraging and it grew fast and they seem to love it will be getting more and grow in dishes for the coop for winter time .

I bought these seeds for my chicken grazing boxes, since they have killed all the grass in their run.These photos were taken on Day 9.The grass is almost long enough to poke through for the chickens to graze.We used the whole bag for this 5x2 grazing box (the bare spots are where my chickens were able to dig under and eat the seeds).It’s almost spring here in FL. I will update to see how long the grass hangs around

I try to grow stuff every year and fail. this was very easy to grow, all i had to do was water it. I kept it away from the chickens while the grass and mix grew so they would not eat the seeds per instructions. It has been really hot here and they would grow real green one day and be dead the next. So for me this is still a learning curve when it comes to growing "anything". I am sure any master gardner can get get this to work better for them than for me.

I sprinkled some of these seeds in a bare area of our chicken run. (Our new flock isn't big enough to have access to entire run yet, so they aren't in this area.) It's grown quickly and looks beautiful. I know it'll last only a few days once the Girls can get to it, but nice to have this option. I think we'll periodically fence off areas of their run and grow little "yards" for them to explore! This stuff even survived when I forgot to water it for a couple days!! Great product!!
