I’m a coffee snob. I’d always bought pricey freshly ground coffee. Pre ground coffee just tasted stale to me so I was willing to pay a little more for the good stuff. I discovered Cafe Bustelo while traveling. I needed coffee for my room and the only store around was Walmart. The little brick of coffee was cheap and seemed as good as anything else the store had to offer. I was really surprised at how good this coffee is. It’s dark and rich with a slightly chocolate flavor. Similar to an Arabian Mocha Java. This has become one of my favorite coffees and you can’t beat the price.

I like my coffee strong and black. Using a Bialetti Moka Pot brewer here. This Bustelo is smooth and dark. It may lack the more nuanced flavor notes of, say Lavazza Intenso, another fave of mine, but it's cheaper and just as effective as a CDS [caffeine delivery system].
