**UPDATE** It has now been 4 1/2 going on almost 5 months since I purchased this and it's still in decent shape! Yeah she did decide to bite the flap in the front and turned it into a foot rest lol. Smart Kitty! I'm definitely purchasing another one! I'd say her current lounger will last another month or so and for a Cardboard Scratcher to last 6+ months for a reasonable price is worth it!Item came Shipped with no Damage whatsoever. You really don't have any setting up to do, you just remove the plastic wrap and the Outer Product Information Flaps. I put it down in front of the fireplace and Marilla immediately jumped from the Recliner to this Cat Scratch Lounger and it didn't tip over or anything! It's very durable and the actual scratch part that is inside of this cardboard is glued in very very well. Marilla likes to chew cardboard and she has only managed to rip the corners of the outer cardboard and even doing that, nothing has lifted and it's still in perfectly good shape. I think it will last quite some time and in regards of it tipping, the only time I've noticed it will tip is if she puts all of her weight on one edge, then it will tip, but that's barely ever. I would highly suggest this but it's not my opinion that matters, it's Marilla's! She enjoys it, she loves just laying down in it and sleeping in it! It's a perfect fit with a little extra room and even though she's a rather smaller cat, I think all cats would love this! I like the fact that rather than it coming with a bag of catnip to pour on top of it, it actually has catnip infused within the cardboard! Now did I notice if she acted zany after scratching it? Not really, but then there are other times she acts a little ballistic and I'm wondering if she got a little sniff of catnip while scratching. I think it's great, and this is all off my first impressions. Depending on how long it lasts will be whether I'll purchase it again, but I have a feeling that if it lasts even for 3 to 6 months, it's definitely worth it. You do have to take into consideration that this is NOT a reversible cat scratcher, but you do get the benefit of it being a lounger and I feel if you have other cat scratchers within your home that this one won't be used as much anyway so it's a perfect addition!

My cats loved this. It's lightweight and the perfect size to be able to put most anywhere. I'm happy with the quality. It does leave little bits of cardboard dust after it's been scratched on but that's totally expected with this type of thing.

I think it’s great. I tend to display it as it is in the picture so that it looks like a hill. She uses it often and I actually like the color because it blends in with my mid modern century living room. It’s sturdy, strong and doesn’t shred. It looks the same even though she’s been using it for months. When this one goes, I’ll buy another.

My boy Artie is a big boy. He’s a Norwegian Forrest Cat mix and close to 20lbs. It makes it difficult sometimes finding things that are large enough for him. We tried a few scratching pads before these and he liked them, but he LOVES these.The catnip infusion is great! While you can sprinkle additional catnip on them, it’s not necessary. This is probably what I love most. Anything that says SmartyKat catnip-infused is a no-question, must-purchase item. Next, it consists of 3 double-sided corrugated cardboard pieces in a box and eliminates cardboard craps getting everywhere. When he is done with the first, which lasts a good 2 months, we flip it over to the other side. Once he’s done with that side, we throw it out and there are still two more. So, price-wise it’s a great deal. Even though he is a larger cat, it’s still the perfect size to sit on; he loves to sit on it and rub his face across the catnip-infused cardboard.I can’t recommend these enough. They don’t have to be replaced but once every year (assuming you have one cat), and they are perfect as they are simple.Picture shows 2 corrugated scratchers in box, 1 has been used and removed.

It was much cheaper than the other scratchers on Amazon when I got it. Great quality, it's lasting longer than the frisco one I got from chewy. The only thing is that it may tip to the side a bit from the angle depending on how your kitty uses it. It doesn't seem to bother Miko, though.
