This only had a funky plastic smell for maybe a day or two. It was super hard to get on my steering wheel and I almost thought that it wasn't going to fit it's got to be one of the hardest steering wheel covers I've ever put on - but it grips tight it has never slipped or slid or moved out of the position I put it in, unlike other cheaper steering wheel covers that I have had. it feels great on my skin and I absolutely love it. it took a small amount of getting used to when I first put it on because it would no longer slide easily through my fingers the rubber bits are truly gripy - but it looks slick and it works great
