What an engaging book for your kid! As soon as we received "Everything is Connected" in the mail, my six-year-old daughter immediately opened it and started reading. I dropped what I was doing to explore this book with her. We found that this book is not only beautifully written, but has illustrations that drew my daughter into a smart, exciting, and touching world of relationships, new concepts, and wonder. This is a book we will be reading time and again. It's rhythmic simplicity invites young readers to explore deeper concepts and spark new discussions that connect parent to child and everything between and beyond.

This book is sheer perfection. A deep, powerful, concept that is compacted and condensed into seamless simplicity to accommodate comprehension from the delicate little minds of children. This story gives kids a glimpse into the infinite and complex reality of our universe. A curious place where the threads of science and spirituality meet. Binding together the fabric of this strange human experience. I am quite impressed by the authors ability to tackle the subject, making it palatable and digestible for children of all ages! My 5 year old totally “grasped it” right alongside his 8 year old sister. Even one of my teenagers commented “What a cool book” after overhearing me read it to the littles. That’s a win across the board! There’s quiet implications of a need to treat every living creature we encounter with the compassion we give ourselves and our loved ones. It makes no direct demands for it, but rather the message is delivered in a way that allows freethinking children to draw that conclusion for themselves. The illustrations are STUNNING. I mean, I would seriously put some of this artwork on the playroom walls. It’s just that awesome! Overall the best kids book we’ve bought in some time! I’m glad we own it. I will definitely purchase another copy for my friends children too.

I thoroughly enjoyed multiple readings of EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED with my Granddaughter (as well as by myself tbh) as we explored all of the pages. Jason Gruhl brilliantly writes about silly connections that help to make the world a little bit smaller while bringing a little clarity to some of the bigger questions of life. Some of the prose gets tripped up by itself but overall it is really a joy to read. the message is unique and fun with a dash of Seussian inspiration. The illustrations by Ignasi Font are clean and fun using a straightforward 4 color theme. I was surprised that the connection line was not fully utilized from page to page though there is still a great flow from page to page. I truly enjoyed this book and it will definitely see repeated readings with my Granddaughter. - B -

It gives a simple but powerful message to help children integrate what they already know deep inside of them. Children of different ages are able to recognize the message of unity and connection in their unique way. My 3 year old son loves the book because it has a picture of T-Rex . Every time we read the book, he turns to the picture of green dinosaur and with the cutest smile, he reports to us that he is connected to T-Rex. It is so precious to see that smile. My 11 year old son did not say that he liked or disliked the book, but more than once he turned to the page with pictures of Jesus and Buddha. I see him looking and thinking. He does not ask questions yet. But I can tell that these images resonate in his heart. As my older son navigates through his pre-teen years of self-discovery, my sincere wish for him is to remember that page.

The author's voice --its playfulness, its protectiveness, its assurance -- lifts off the page. A wonderful book which mirrors a child's energetic whims and introduces images and vocabulary sure to pierce the heart and unlock laughter. Good for the ears of young audiences and the sense of humor of older children. The artistic thread which binds the story together from cover to cover reminds us all that in a zany world, we are indelibly united.

I am in love with this book. I initially bought it as a guiding message for my son, but have found that it was equally beneficial for me! A wonderful reminder of how humans are no different than other creatures and a general sense of kindness for all things is evident in the book. This messaging is contradicted perfectly with mostly black backdrops and and muted pleasing colors with a string running from cover to close. The more you look at it, the more detail you see. I can’t wait to continue to read this to my son and talk with him about just how powerful and wow-erful I know he will be!

The author has created a simple story that expresses the world as everyone and everything connected and that we impact every part of our world. The story is written and illustrated with children in mind by using fun illustrations and word combinations that will be sure to bring a smile to a child's face.
