they work great as long as you know the pinout
These are small, light, and reliable. The interface is simple, direct read, no serial circuit needed. Have had to reset whole microcontroller circuit and sometimes reload program. (On program reload I accept much of that is my fault but I have had working code run for days and the sensor data is skewed from actual. Reset and reload program will fix. Used to sense the temperature of air and central heating pipes for Raspberry Pi application. I used 10 uF bypass capacitor and resistor to minimise noise as described in datasheet. Recommended.

100% worked first time
Easy to use following various web sites found with Google search. Amazing devices only require one wire and ground wire to each device all sharing one single wire to/from Arduino along with common ground.

You ABSOLUTELY need the pull up resistor to get these to work on ARDUINO. Internal PULL DOES NOT WORK. Also it not an authentic DALLAS sensor, rather DALLAS like. :-)

Exactly as specified
These work exactly like they're supposed to. I was pleasantly surprised that all of a batch of 20 worked to spec. I purchased two batches of "Eiechip 10Pcs 18B20 DS18B20 TO-92 3 Pins Wire Digital Thermometer Temperature IC Sensor" (total 20) because they are inexpensive enough for experimenting, plus the 1-Wire interface makes it is as easy to hook up one as many. The Maxim Integrated (formerly Dallas) specification is +/- 0.5C; every one of these scored 0.49C or lower over several days testing at room temperature. I imagine results may vary at the limits of device (-10C to +85C aka +14F to 185F), but I think 0.5C at ambient is great for my application, measuring temperatures inside/outside our home. The "excluded" measurement in my results table photo is a different brand of DS18B20 monitoring a computer's temperature.

Works well
These sensors work well. I'm usung with brew pi, and they are working an full active mode. Temperature seems stable and accurate.

Those are fake maxim sensors, but work ok enough.
The serial number on the ones I received looked like this 282C71432F1901D6 As explained online, a real maxim is 28XXXXXXXX0000XX . The temperatures I read seemed ok enough, but most fake sensors have issues of one kind or another. Buyer beware

The parts work.
The parts I ordered came on time and worked.

Fake DS18B20 sensor
This is a fake sensor and not a real sensor. There's an arduino script you can run that tells you. Here's the output from a handful of these that I've tested: 28-FF-05-12-02-17-05-57: ROM does not follow expected pattern 28-xx-xx-xx-xx-00-00-crc. Error. Scratchpad Register: 50/05/4B/A2/7F/FF/7F/10/3A Info only: Scratchpad bytes 2,3,4 (4B/A2/7F): not Maxim default values 4B/46/7F. Scratchpad byte 5 (0xFF): ok. Scratchpad byte 6 (0x7F): unexpected value. Error. Scratchpad byte 7 (0x10): ok. 0x4E modifies alarm registers: ok. 0x4E accepts 10 bit resolution: ok. 0x4E preserves reserved bytes: no, got: FF/3F/10. Error. 0x4E accepts 12 bit resolution: ok. 0x4E preserves reserved bytes: no, got: FF/7F/10. Error. Checking byte 6 upon temperature change: not necessary. Skipped. --> Sensor appears to be counterfeit based on 4 deviations.
